Value betting doubts

Mon Apr 01, 2019 3:41 pm

After reading all topics about value betting  i have some doubts?

- should i use flat stake or stake to win amount?
-  wich sports should i use and the ones i should avoid
- i am thinking in doing only odds between 1,5 and 4 to avoid big variation
- i will take only bets with value bigger than 5.5%
- whats the max value that i should take?
- i am thinking in start with en.surebet.com/users/sign_up?affiliate_code=arbusers&zone=arbusers" target="_blank" class="postlink autolinks">surebet.com has provider, is it reliable?
  thanks

Stake to win is the way to go, I think, but we'll see what the others say.

I'm using RebelBetting's Value bet software and you won't get many over 5.5%, but they might be worth waiting for. I'm getting killed early on and I was taking anything over 3%. I think I lost 75% of my first bunch of value bets! Kinda has me spooked off of value betting. Back to arbing.

You wont find many value bets over 5.5% if you are talking arb-wise percentages.
Taking only odds up to 3 is always a good idea to reduce variance, along with proper stake sizing.
Any value bettor will win more money long term than a arber. Arbers always leave money on the table for their "secure" profits.

- There is no universal answer to flat stake or not. Personally I would go for the ''to win amount'', but I ve seen very successful projects going on with flat staking.
- Very generally I would stay with big markets and big leagues.
- Yes, you should do some odds filtering depending on your results and on where you get the value from
- Depends on how you define value.
- I would go up to the point where a bookmaker would not be able to say ''palp error''

I'm pretty new to this and I'm seeing a possible filter, or maybe it's just a caution depending on how much time is left before your match starting time.

Here it is:

It's better value bet if the Pinnacle or Sharp odds are steaming away from your recommended value bet/odds, rather than coming back towards your bet/odds. It's like betting the steam, but at the older, better price. Now, most of the time, this is the case with most value bets, but some, if you check, you can see that the odds are coming back at your value bet/odds, and might eventually make it a not so good value.
