Neteller funds STOLEN after playing Casino Heroes

Thu Apr 25, 2019 11:10 am

Last month I joined Casino Heroes and used my newly made Neteller account to deposit and play resulting in a loss far greater than the deposit I made! (which I lost)
Shortly after I joined Casino Heroes my Neteller account balance of over £1300 was cleaned out in about 30+ transactions to my total shock!
I called Neteller and they said to change my email address and also passwords etc involved with them and they would investigate the matter.
They then sent me an email with the following content :

“Judging by your transactions history, it seems that you hold an account with a merchant called CasinoHeroes (CasinoSaga).
Could you please advise if you have recently requested a withdrawal from your account at CasinoHeroes back to your Neteller account? If so, do you remember what kind of information have you been requested to enter in their site (Neteller ID / email, secure ID, etc).

We need this information in order to review your complaint.

Thank you for choosing NETELLER!”

I replied that they had my email address when you sign up, I used my Neteller ID and secure ID to deposit and had made no withdrawals.
Then after that they made me fill in a form asking where I hide my passwords, are they the same as other websites etc etc which I did and then they emailed me to say that the breach was my fault and that I would not be entitled to my money back!
I was shocked as it was so obvious to me with their previous email that there was either someone within the Casino Heroes business who used these details or their database was hacked, otherwise why even mention Casino Heroes?!
Anyhow I emailed them an irate response informing them I would go to the FCA and Financial Ombudsmen and will be talking to my lawyer about it and Neteller then responded they will (rightfully) return my stolen money.
This is a double warning for anyone out there to beware of Casino Heroes having your details and also of Neteller trying to wash their hands of any blame!!
It's because of their lax security letting 30+ transactions go through in such a small space of time that my money was even taken at the start and then trying to take no responsibility is just wrong! They even had the audacity to say they were returning my funds out of “good will”.
I hope nobody else has to go through this with them! Please inform your players that their details are not safe at this casino. I can provide any emails as needed for proof.

Regards
Jade

Always ALWAYS make sure you use Neteller 2FA, and make sure its always turned on.  This will stop any possibility of dodgy transactions!

Personally got hacked when yourbet.com was hacked.

Story went like this:

a) Hacker hacked yourbet.com.

b) Was forced to change log in each time i was logged into yourbet.com

c) After 100+ passwords resets, i stupidly used the same password as the one i used in my email address and they hacked my email address.

d) Via password recovery function they recovered most my passwords at agents, bookies, ewallets etc.

Story ended well as Sportmarket thankfully didn't pay them via bitcoin since i had deposited with neteller (i know they could have paid them but they found it weird that i asked full withdrawal of my balance via bitcoin and they said they need time). All other bookies rejected bitcoin as well.

Finally, hacker recovered ewallet passwords but they couldn't guess the obvious security answer (or they didn't have the time to do it as i was online when they emptied my Sportmarket account, so everything happened fast).

Do a favour to your self and secure everything with 2FA, emails, ewallets, agent accounts, whatever you can.

Also, withdraw your balance from all books and change your neteller/skrill email address etc.

Be thankfull that you haven't lost any money

The 2FA might not be feasible in some cases.
The FCA seems to be working as a real threat for Neteller meaning they did something wrong, eventually paying the money.
Red flag for casino heroes.
