Bookmaker webscraper (open source)

Fri May 24, 2019 2:36 pm

Hey in here. I hope it's the right section. It's my hope with the post to have more arbers interested in programming as it's surely a neat tool when it comes to both professional or hobby arbitrage. There's a lot of money to save each week by not having to subscribe to OddsStorm or BetBurger. However, it demands a little interest and time spent on learning. But you guys are arbing, you are not stupid.

Before I started studying data science I worked on a small project for a friend which would save him some money from using OddsStorm. It's a webscraper written in Python 3.6 scraping 1xbet and asianodds for arbitrage opportunities. It uses a headless browser (chrome) to read data otherwise hidden by the websites' javascript stuff. It then parses the data and extract arbitrage opportunities to a database.

The tool is not just a click-and-run program. You must spend some time learning a little Python first (see https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-fastest-and-easiest-way-to-learn-Python-programming)

The tool is located here:
https://github.com/christianshub/SportsArbitrage/

Any issues or help you may need, let me know! I'll do my best to help :-)

Best regards, Chris
