Re: Source of Funds outside the uk
I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, but surely bookmakers are asking for a source of funds or proof of income to players that live outside the UK. For some low-income and high risk countries, this is a very common situation.sadedu95 wrote: hi i was wondering weather anyone gets proof of funds outside the uk.

Re: Source of Funds outside the uk
my understanding was that this was a UK requirement. So outside of the UK if you deposit more than 3k you will get a POI request

Hello,
Im from a country with low standarts and if you loose 15k+ here get ready to provide source of wealth.
I hope this helps.

And the "money laundering" excuse is BS, because all books insist that withdrawals go back to the same payment method used to deposit.
Re: Source of Funds outside the uk
This is such a fucked up industry, spend £20K on a car, no questions asked, a £10K luxury cruise or holiday, no questions asked, but put a few quid into a bookmaker and you have to hand over extremely personal and sensitive financial information.sadedu95 wrote: in this country anything more thank 1.5k calls for source of wealth

yeah to me it seems the bookies have to do it due license agreements. However outside the UKGC is it less harsh. For example will 5k deposits get the request

Its a complete and utter pisstake and im sure would be deemed illegal in a British court of law.
Re: Source of Funds outside the uk
Its not the request, its the lengths some book/casinos go to and details they want. I have no problem showing them my bank statement with the debit transaction to their company, (Which shows the funds are mine and that they came from my account) but no, they want payslips, details of either house sale, inheritance, windfall, etc and if you have a credit from a friend or family member they want their details too sometimes from what ive read on Casinomeister recently.sadedu95 wrote: yeah to me it seems the bookies have to do it due license agreements. Re: Source of Funds outside the uk
If you got your source of funds sorted their is only so much information they can ask. After that i guess they are telling you to take it to the omidsmen. I remember the 188bet case years ago.
we are by law allowed to get all information they hold on us due to freedom of information. I think i might have to take this one up.
