funny times ahead, these bookmaking companies never looked sustainable bussinesses I would invest my lifetime for, but who knows this might take years before it materializes though

When hedge funds hit they hit hard. Remember the ERM collapse in 1991 when George Sorres essentially bet agains the UK economy.

You might remember the one and only day when VW became the biggest company in the world. It was the day that some hedge funds lost their underwear.

or you could even bring up the flash crash in 2010 when 800 billion was wiped off the market in a matter of minutes. No one has a crystal ball nonetheless i do believe this is interesting. Unless you believe they are making a stupid bet. In which case that would be more interesting.

Re: Hedge fund bets against Flutter continue to mount
I have no fundamental nor wave analysis in Flutter.
The only analysis I have is a simple one. I m participating in many conferences since 2014 and I can say for sure that Flutter's kiosks are not popular anymore. I recall back in 2014 a war among affiliates to get to the queue just to speak with one of their managers. Today the picture is different. They offer coffee and biscuits in their kiosks that no-body is willing to taste, simply because only their lazy managers are in these kiosks.

What i wonder is if the hole left behind by Betfair can ever be filled. Or is that a relic of the past.

Maybe the answer is ''decentralized'' and that might be tomorrow's Guest Post.

IMO the relics were created by the multiple national regulations that rejected one country after another from accessing betfair, and the loss of valuable volumes.sadedu95 wrote: What i wonder is if the hole left behind by Betfair can ever be filled. Or is that a relic of the past.

"Decentralized" as in leaning on a blockchain, for example? I don't think we are ready for that yet, cryptocurrencies are still highly volatile.arbusers wrote:IMO the relics were created by the multiple national regulations that rejected one country after another from accessing betfair, and the loss of valuable volumes.sadedu95 wrote: What i wonder is if the hole left behind by Betfair can ever be filled.
