Bookmakers are getting more ridiculous everyday. Only bookmakers? E-wallets also! Sports betting arbitrage gets more challenging every year..

I could stop today and live very nicely from my spoils of the last 15 years, but I actually enjoy it and the extra pays for treats like lavish holidays etc

Re: How long you're planning to continue sports betting arbitrage?
I didn't see my potential answer on that list.
I will continue smart betting (not necessarily arbing) for as long as it pays according to my expectations.
Why should you stop in 2-4-10 years if it pays? Maybe the only reason would be boredom. But this thing is so interesting that you get depended on it. It is like a drug.

Answer to the poll: I already quited..
I only did arbing for a year, from 2015-2016. Then I decided that sharps should no longer count on me as someone who would provide a moneyflow from the softs to their books. I came to this conclusion after some 10.000 arbs where I had around 20 books, 16 of them had positive balance, all commonly referred to as softs. The 3 sharps that I had used all had negative balance. I was break-even at the last "soft book" (bet365). Based on this conclusion, I took up value betting instead.
Re: How long you're planning to continue sports betting arbitrage?
It is the reason why I try to avoid getting too emotional during both losing streaks AND winning streaks, after all they are just numbers. Easier said than done - it is very difficult, constant exposure makes it easier each time, but I must admit that I will never master that completely. Some days after a long streak in either direction, I reflect on my past thoughts, and often say to myself: "what were you thinking?". On the other hand, when you combine emotion with passion, you can be in possession of a very valuable driving factor. But passion should be dominant, and emotion only a good supplement.arbusers wrote: Addicted to your own success.

I'm doing this like 15 years and will try do to it as long as it's profitable. But if there is a new guy he should think if he really wants to invest energy into this. It's like dying business, best times are over. And there may be many other better business opportunities.

Looks like everybody enjoying arbitrage business. Me too! Man, It's addicting! Best times may be over but still it's a profitable business.
Sports betting arbitrage slowly dying? Maybe yes but hey it's not dead yet. Relentless arbers will carry on and keep draining bookmakers' blood 'til the last drop..
There may be a decrease in profits overall but hey things may be worse after 5 years, who knows? Maybe you will miss 2019 after 5 years and you will say ''ah things were much better in 2019. How I miss 2019!''
Therefore, better enjoy the moment. I hope 2020 brings pleasant things to all of us. Remember, there may be a slight decrease in the flow but the river is still flowing. You better fill your bucket while the river is flowing. Who knows how betting indstury will be after 10 years?
Anyway, Champions League about to start. Good luck everybody! Let's have a good one!

Interesting topic here. I think Arbing is going well for me although the margins are slimmer. Thankfully Betfair's reward plan to drop commission rates to 2% has been very beneficial.
There was a bookie called Black Type last year, offering great arbs - making some nice savings thanks to them!

Take a look at G ent ing bet. They used to use the same odds provider. They'll limit you quicker than Blacktype thoughArbController wrote:
