We receive various reports from a number of members informing us that since yesterday night, many (if not all) Betfair agents ceased business abruptly. This came with no previous notice during a Champions League full action night. We are stressing this has nothing to do with white label clones.
It remains to be seen to what extent these agents will pay their clients, and what their new business model will be.
Yesterday we informed our members that 21bet.co.uk ceased business too.

Re: Betfair agents to cease business
Are there some more info available why all those accounts were closed without a notice? What will happen with them and the money on it?

Re: Betfair agents to cease business
They must be getting some sort of grief from the UKGC about agents, as agents allow unregulated gambling. Not a problem for companies who operate outside of the UK, but definitely a problem for UK exchanges like BF, BD, MB etc.

Re: Betfair agents to cease business
I sent two emails to betinasia yesterday morning asking what do they know about this and what will happen to my money, two times they replied with generic answers pretending they didn't understood what i asked, i sent a third mail to them and they didn't bothered to reply.
Shouldn't betinasia have a say to their clients that are in this bad situation? I got my account closed with all my balance and i see no support from betinasia. I only got a vague mail from betfair.
Shouldn't the right thing to do by betfair to transfer my balance back to betinasia? Why betinasia is silent about this? I lost my trust on them.
Arbusers, can you talk to betinasia or betfair and get some more info?

I m wondering why don't you post this to the relevant board of BetInAsia, so you get a direct answer from them.ayahuasca wrote: Arbusers, can you talk to betinasia or betfair and get some more info?

Saw this somewhere:

So there should be news this week. I do not believe there will be confiscations.

Re: Betfair agents to cease business
Betfair are taking the piss with this. They should be giving AT LEAST a couple of weeks notice, so clients can have their bets settled normally and have a chance to trade out of long term bets and move the liability to another exchange or book.
To suddenly just cut off account access is disgusting!

Betfair have disabled the "Lay" feature on OrbitX for horse racing.
I wonder if they'll eventually shut down all the white labels as well.
