Ken Griffin, a hedge fund tycoon and the founder of Citadel, has shorted the shares of GVC Holdings, which owns Ladbrokes and Coral brands.
Griffin has placed an £80 million bet against GVC, predicting (or hoping for) a rapid value loss of GVC. It is not clear if the short is due to the coronavirus ordeal, or based on different analysis.
