What are your expectations for the new season?
« on: August 15, 2020, 02:20:38 PM »

I m not able to recover my business since the pandemic. There is some action going on, but for sure it can't match normal action as we knew it. Seems to me it will take years until I get back to the profit levels of February 2019.
What do you think?

There is no standard answer to your question because it largely depends on the style of action and other circumstances of each smart bettor. But in general, I would say most bettors will see their business being damaged for a number of reasons.
1. Fewer markets, fewer games.
2. Bigger fees.
3. Bookmakers, agents, and processors acting like vacuum cleaners looking for the last cent under the table.
I don't know which one of these is worse than others really. Again it depends on many factors, but anyone being able to maintain 60% YTD profits will be considered happy.

The profits will never be the same as before. Main bookies restricting payment methods, also Ewallets acting like scammers, adding more fees and harder verifications making multi acc very hard.

Fewer markets, fewer games is definitely still quite noticeable.

On the positive side, betting wise there has been some rising sports during the crisis, such as table tennis, short hockey and eSoccer. Those are great from a shop betting perspective.

I have always had most profits in the fall (september to november) so the 2020 results will stand and fall with the basket and hockey leagues beginning their seasons as usual.

There is no question about it, this season is going to be the toughest.
At the same time, I see many smart gamblers trying to diversify and create new sources of wealth. e-sports being one of them as many are looking for opportunities there. Usually, the longer the incubation period, the higher profits for a project. Quick plans do not materialize into profits.
