Is Wirecard scandal a danger for us?
I m reading the details of the Wirecard scandal which looks like a cold war thriller and I wonder if Wirecard represents a danger for gambling communities. Any?

Re: Is Wirecard scandal a danger for us?
Luckily, and I mean luckily, the Wirecard scandal is not affecting gambling.
Back in 2016-17 Wirecard tried to compete with PaySafe in German markets. Some bookmakers and especially some casinos adopted Wirecard as a means of payment. However, they didn't succeed in these businesses.
One of the things that worries me, is that Wirecard had branches in Singapore and the Philippines, where many gambling operators, brokers, and agents are based. So far, there is no indication that any broker was conducting business with Wirecard.
Indeed, this is a thriller that will become a Hollywood movie soon.

Did they stopped payments due to the Wirecard scandal, or due to the pandemics?
Re: Is Wirecard scandal a danger for us?
The only known broker with ties in both Singapore and Philippines is AsianConnect. As we all remember very well, AsianConnect stopped playing players during the first lockdown of March 2020. More or less this is the time when the Wirecard scandal came out to the public. So, my question is what is AsianConnect's exposure (if any) to Wirecard?arbusers wrote:One of the things that worries me, is that Wirecard had branches in Singapore and the Philippines, where many gambling operators, brokers, and agents are based.
