5Dimes settles with DOJ. Expected to get US gambling licence. Is Pinnacle next?

Thu Oct 01, 2020 3:27 am

Offshore sportsbook 5Dimes, which shut down U.S. operations earlier this September, has reached a $46.8 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice.
5Dimes was founded in 2011 by U.S. citizen Sean Creighton (aka Tony), who was kidnapped and murdered for randoms in Costa Rica 2 years ago.
In return, the DOJ has agreed not to criminally prosecute 5Dimes or Laura Varela (Creighton's widow) for any crimes committed prior to September 30th, 2020.
It is rumored that 5Dimes will now pursue sports betting license in the regulated US market. This will be a pilot case for other offshore bookmakers who will act accordingly. Long story short, the real question is about Pinnacle's return in the US market.
Is Pinnacle next?

sorry if off topic?

UK was and maybe still is an arber's dream but things have changed for the worse over the years and with the glorious William Hill
now being bought by Ceasar's purely for the USA market and the now useless for arbing 888 holdings waiting to buy the rest of Willhill,
this is another quite large nail in the coffin for UK arbers in particular.

could the USA (post Covid) be an untapped arbing goldmine? people often come on here and ask about best place to relocate to.
some are predicting $40bn+ US gambling revenue per year. in the early days of USA's new found gambling freedoms maybe they can be caught off guard by arbers before their bookmakers can catch up?

arbing from California, New York, Florida could be an attractive proposition?.....or am I dreaming?

For sure some very nice chances are starting to appear in the US gambling markets.
However, the complex regulatory procedures of each state, are not allowing bookmakers to carpet solutions. It is like having 52 different countries. This creates a financial burden because of legal fees paid to very expensive law firms.
In the end, we will not speak about the US as a whole, but for separate states and the chances that you can find in them. Some states will be more blessed than others.
So far we have no reports on how DraftKings and the others are behaving, it would be very interesting to know. To add more smoke, DonBest is not working like before, and I have questions about the timing.

Sports Odds and data supplier. Their Real-Time Odds Console was considered to be their top service. This is not an alert service.

yes i understand this and it would obviously mean picking the right States, in normal times from the UK you were allowed 6 months per year
visits and an ESTA every 2 years as part of the visa-waiver scheme, I'm sure it would be a similar situation in many european countries too?

as someone who has had many succesful arbing months abroad I can say it could be ideal for an adventurous arber wanting an interesting experience and nice profits at the same time.

many people have come on here asking about the UK and relocating? before this was a great idea, maybe USA could be the new UK?

only one country, I never said countries although I have experimented to a small scale in other countries but nothing compared to my second home where i have been able to arb for months as if I were still at home in the UK using at first teamviewer until they blocked me and then anydesk as a very good replacement.

not sure if your question is a friendly question right enough so won't bother to elaborate any more.

So in reality you have 0 experience outside the UK. You just used Teamviewer to bet from abroad. And what is the name of that 2 country?

seems you don't understand reality,

who are you to ask me questions? I choose who I communicate with and definitely not with you.

I try not to make confrontation with you as you asked like a little girl for me to be banned but now you make confrontation as you have many times in the past with your negative posts, this time doubting my honest words.

my post in this topic was to mention that maybe USA can be a good place in the future for arbers wishing to travel? I didn't say how, sure they could remotely access their existing accounts or can make new USA friends, either way they'd be getting a new experience of arbing from another country.

What makes you believe that your membership in a forum comes with immunity for questions?
I am entitled to ask questions to whoever I want, for as long as I am asking in a polite and civilized manner. My questions were polite and within what is called the civilized way of communication.
Of course, you can stay silent and avoid to answer my questions, this is your right as well, and I will not complain about that.

I will not comment on the following:
