Something needs to be done with the e-wallets

Sat Dec 19, 2020 11:21 am

I started some time ago the Something needs to be done with the alert services to describe a very bad situation where we dont have a reliable solution from the alert services.
Unfortunately today I am starting a similar post with the e-wallets, because I see that PaySafe wallets (Skrill and Neteller) are no longer a reliable solution for our business. I had high hopes with ecoPayz but more or less the service is the same and there are a lot of bookmakers missing from their list.
The situation is very bad, and for some people like me, it is not possible to return back to banks for a number of reasons.
Do you guys have any solution to suggest?

hi, I hope this thread will receive good attention from the community as it's a very crucial discussion.

I agree with the Paysafe part, I had a bad experience myself with them, and I'm using Ecopayz now. Except the limited availability from bookies' side, did you have any problem with them?

The overall quality of service that players receive from PaySafe has gone down. And really, I don't see any reason why it will stop going down.
Verification: Maybe a DNA test will be required the next time. Who knows.
P2P transactions: These are important for smart betting. But all P2Ps are adding negative points to your profile, resulting in additional checks, locks, and weird business decisions.
Market coverage: Where is Bet365 really?
It is not a surprise that more and more players are switching to banks and ecoPayz.

But maybe, PaySafe is already determined to completely shut any business with the e-wallets deposits to bookmakers, casinos, etc. And that is why they don't care about adding more fees every week.

So far things look good with ecoPayz but let's be realistic. ecoPayz is regulated by the same authority as PaySafe, FCA. More or less I am expecting the same treatment. But from my research, I believe that regulations, EU directives, AML policies, etc, are leaving a lot of space for different interpretations. And probably their internal compliance, or however they call it, is a little bit more relaxed than PaySafe. Maybe I am wrong with this and more people should say what their opinion is. Maybe my profile is not ideal, because I also deposit t some casinos.

I notice many people speaking about fintech banks like Revolut, N26 etc. Can we safely use them? I am left with the impression these are not good for gambling transactions.

The recent Paysafe behaviour in closing accounts and in some casas applying a 150USD closing fee, alongside even stricter and evasive kyc verification systems are antecipating the end of an era.

Most locusts and organized smart betting syndicates are heavily affected by this and most of them are out of business in no time.
I see only a reduced amount of locusts being able to continue their work, by having access to sophisticated methods such as bank accounts and debit cards.

I can tell you that more legitimate players are out of business for as long as PaySafe pretends (for Bet365 maybe?) that they fight locusts.

that's a very crucial issue. Most of Paysafe wallets cause problems to their customers, including except for Skrill and Neteller who have the most problems, ecopayz too. I try now to use them so much at the moment, so, i mostly use coinbase as a cryptocurrency wallet which has a bad support team and also i have created a fillit account which is good enough for bank transfers, but it takes longer for betting companies to receive funds and credit account.

I might be mistaken but crypto deposit/trading might have an impact on all this (paypal users should be warned)

Personally I switched to Ecopayz and I'm feeling good. They declare themselves betting friendly so I guess they'll tolerate this kind of transactions. Anything different would be crazy. And I haven't read anything bad about them yet, so I guess they are lot better than Paysafe scammers.
I just hope in future they'll totally overcome skrill and neteller.

I've also read decent things about Muchbetter (gaming and betting friendly as well) but very few betting operators added them yet

So far we are very happy with ecoPayz services but we need more time to check them.
The more options we have the better, and we constantly look for new payment options. More options are needed to break rogue monopolies.

Now I will tell you what is decent about Muchbetter. Read carefully and click the link that I will give you before they remove it.
Muchbetter came to our attention and we decided to examine if there is any possibility to use them in order to re-distribute our volumes among other e-wallets. Sadly, contrary to their name, they are no better than their competitors.

Maybe the biggest disadvantage of Skrill and Neteller is the ease they share customers' information with their merchants. But at the same time, both e-wallets never confirmed openly that they do share (or maybe sell?) customer information to 3rd parties with the exception of whatever came into force from the PSD2 and other EU directives.

On the other hand, Muchbetter openly admits profiling clients and then sharing all data and conclusions with their merchants. I am copying from their website:

Besides account and account holder-related information, we also provide access and insight to indicators for collusion activity between accounts or payment methods used, cash-out behavior and indication of activity levels of individual accounts.

This can be found here: https://muchbetter.com/all/what-can-ope ... -abuse-19/

I m 100% sure they do have consent for this as all clients will have to provide it upon registration. I just feel this needs to be highlighted.

ok , I read carefully. Ok, it seems a way against abuses (bonus abuses etc). Why due to this you rate them "bad"? Imo is much much worse what Paysafe is doing to his customers

Are you kidding? Openly stating that we only make money if you as an operator make, clearly says that they are working for operators and not for customers. Muchbetter is only good if you use it for one bookmaker(asian ones) or for recreational betting. If you even do value betting and only use your own accounts, you will still be flagged i guess by one operator and muchbetter can flag youre account for other operators who are their clients. In this industry, public statements are usually a mere tip of an iceberg of whats really happening behind the curtains..

Probably I don’t see the problem bcs I use only Asian brokers and if they’ll ever add MB to their payment systems, I’ll use it with them only. But as I told you their offer is quite limited yet..only Sportmarket if I’m not wrong

If opertor dont win money , will close  and all will lose ... is operator looses money from wallet users will close all wallets , thats not good for customers , so they are brave to state the obvious in my opinion.
Its not a unified batle with all customers in one side, trying to destroy and close all operators ;)

Good players take money from bad players , and operator gets his part . there is some room for all to win or have fun...
But fraud customers take money from all and dont help the market ... i know you afraid many misspractices (and sure operators will take advantage)  , but technicaly they are right.

One of the best features of any e-wallet is the ability for P2P transactions. These could be easily vilified under collusion activity.

In addition, there is something else that raises questions. I am copying from their affiliate terms and conditions the following text:

Affiliate shall not, and shall ensure that Referred Customers do not perform any of the following activities:
(i) disparage or portray MuchBetter or its affiliates in any way that will have a detrimental impact to their reputation.

These can be found here: https://muchbetter.com/all/wp-content/u ... te-TCs.pdf Have a look before they take it down.

Long story short, their affiliates must mute any negative comment. If for example, I post anything bad about Muchbetter in this forum, arbusers will have to ensure that I portray Muchbetter correctly. Just take a look at this forum and realise that arbusers allowed 100s if not 1000s of negative posts against Skrill, Neteller, and ecoPayz who are major sponsors. Now you can portray the affiliates that accepted these terms.

I m wondering if I am allowed to create a quick review here for Muchbetter, because my posts are lost within a thread and don't get the attention they deserve.

Muchbetter, Muchworse, or Moreofthesame?
