Legal issues,Poland and Slovakia

Mon Feb 24, 2014 2:12 pm

I have a question about arbing in Slovakia and Poland. I read that betting is legal but only using bookmakers that pay taxes there, so is there any way to legalise earnings from other bookmakers ? I mean anything you can do, even pay some taxes...

As far as I know, in Slovakia there is an exception for earnings from gambling saying they are not taxable. But I may be wrong, I did not study it further.

In Slovakia you cant promote website who dont have license , but if you use other domain like .sk you can promote them, also its good to  have webhosting from USA or any other country than Slovakia.  And you dont need to pay nothing from betting.

Ok, but I'm not interesting in promoting bookmakers. I wonder if I place bets in Slovakia and use bookmakers like Pinnacle would it be legal or not? I know in Poland I can't legally place bet in any bookmaker that doesn't pay tax here. Of course it's possible to place arbs in Poland but I'll have trouble when I'd like to spend much money and buy for example a flat.

There is no space for legalizing winnings at bookmaker in Poland - you can though use some tricks like opening website and stating you got this money through an affiliate deal - this though is also problematic, since promoting offshore companies is also forbidden.

Place for some tricks.

Thanks for your  answer. So now I understand that you can also tell the tax office about your earnings and have no problems. I think about finding any tricks but nothing comes to my head. Maybe living still in Poland and arbing "in Slovakia" would solve tax and legal problems.
