Can be pre match and live, depends on the bookie.
Back to the actual topic guys, is anyone actually interested in connecting to share strategies in the various brands?

The problem is that it looks like it is impossible to connect via arbusers forum as private messages are not available here

If some people are based in London and genuinely arb in shops for a living like myself, I would be happy to meet up in a bar somewhere and chat happy to hear who is interested!
Re: Looking to connect with shop runners
Yeah not too sure why we can’t exchange messages. This makes it very hard to connect. Admin is this intentional ?

Do you trade only between stores? Do you manually search for arbitrage?Jack Peak wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 5:57 pmYeah not too sure why we can’t exchange messages. This makes it very hard to connect. Admin is this intentional ?

To find the arbs all shops have different weaknesses let’s say. Obviously use rebel and BB but not necessarily always same odds on the Term, that’s where the experience is required. Was told Dogs and horses can be good but been struggling there so would love to hear from ppl who do that ….
Re: Looking to connect with shop runners
Take the value in shops only yes, sometimes cover on betfair when the bid/offer isn’t too wide (say tennis atp /wta I’m happy to pay 1 tick wide + commission to cover but clearly not happy to lay when the back / lay is 15 ticks wide!).Dean wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 7:54 pmDo you trade only between stores? Re: Looking to connect with shop runners
My experience arbing shops in the UK hasn't been great. I'm stake restricted from all the William Hills and Betfreds in two city centres.
I wasn't taking regular arbs but value bets in the form of extra place bets for horse racing. I usually placed bets of around 1.5-2k returns to not draw too much attention to myself. They kept ending up winning at the bookie though which was frustrating. After I was banned from one city.. I was much more careful with the next. I changed my clothes, split stakes over different stores and even bookies. The problem is several branches of store have the same trader who will notice you.
When the hammer drops some staff are apologetic and almost embarrassed to turn your business away.. others gleefully tell you to get lost like you're a criminal and it's their own money you're taking. Overall I found the experience pretty stressful, running around from shop to shop with a decent amount of cash trying to stealthily get bets on and then there's the stress of the lay odds drifting out when you exit the shop.
I'm not saying it can't be done but thought I'd share my experience. Good luck and congratulations to anyone making it work.

Do you use any alert services when placing value bets on horse racing?Oliver Clark wrote: ↑Mon Sep 02, 2024 4:05 pmMy experience arbing shops in the UK hasn't been great. I'm stake restricted from all the William Hills and Betfreds in two city centres.
