If that would be the case, Matchbook would justify it's action by stating that my account was connected with another account by this sort of activity. But if you read their replies, you can understand that their problem was that I didn't pay any commission by betting only in the 0% commission markets. You made a withdrawal "after playing for a week and paying commisions", so there is the difference between your case and mine. 

i thought i had posted my ordeal with this bookmaker, beware if you do not want alot of money slashed out of you deposit.

Dont get me wrong...I have been caught by them matching my "own" bets between 2 accounts and after 2 weeks they reopened both accounts with just a warning. The point of my second post in this thread is that a regular player/arber doesnt need to worry about paying any withdrawal fee if they dont bet only in AH or try to deposit/withdraw unessesary money. Obviosly you looked like a player that was trying to abuse on her eyes,and as we are arbers you looked the same on our eyes too...

Now you do have a clue... That's exactly what I wrote about them. 

But that doesn't mean that there was some kind of affiliate abuse from my account and of course I didn't match bets between accounts. I just used "only" their handicap markets, which isn't exactly abuse.

Just recieved this email from them:

Dear Customer,

Whenever a customer deposits or withdraws funds to their Matchbook account, from an e-wallet like Skrill or Neteller, we incur a fee which we do not pass on to the customer.

We are able to maintain our industry-low commission rate of 1% by keeping our costs low. To do this, we try to discourage customers from making excessive numbers of deposits and withdrawals.

Having monitored your funding activity over the past number of weeks, we have noticed that it continues to cost Matchbook more than your betting activity would generate. From Thursday 26nd June only the first withdrawal made to an e-wallet (Skrill/Neteller) for each 07 day period will be processed free of charge. Each subsequent withdrawal in that 07 day period will incur a charge equal to 2% of the amount withdrawn.

This charge applies to all e-wallet payments. There are also other payment methods available and you can find a full list of these in the Cashier section of Matchbook.

Sounds fair to me. You still have free withdrawals once a week and they told you in advance.

I haven't used Matchbook since this incident and after 5 months I received today this email:

Hi There,
We are happy to inform you that any previous deposit/withdrawal restrictions that were in place with NETELLER have now been lifted from your account.
These restrictions were implemented on specific accounts with excessive deposit/withdrawal activity.
We continue to monitor all accounts for such activity and going forward we will place these restrictions on accounts who we deem to have excessive deposit/withdrawal activity.
We look forward to having you back.

So, according to Matchbook I was a customer that had excessive deposit/withdrawal activity and they placed some restrictions to my account (charging me also hefty fees without warning). Despite that fact they now want me back, but they will monitor me again and... charge me hefty fees without warning. They are probably looking for suckers...

i got the same mail....but i was warned that fee will be applied if i continue to do deposit /withdraw very often...since then i use them with AC....

If Matchbook could indicate the proportion of its customers who are forced to pay the 2% fee. If the answer is 5% or less so most customers do not worry about the fee. (reply this).

I want to add my opinion. If customers can´t read about the fees in terms and conditions somewhere on the site, I strongly believe it is wrong to charge 2% fee to user sportoboy without warning or info in terms about it. In comparison with, for example, Pinnacle Sports, which clearly went out on some forum and explained their new rule 30 in their terms.

Of course they should inform before hand and take confirmation from the customer before apply the charge.
But when you pay 0% commission they do well to charge you. Show appreciation of the 0% and don't produce uneccessary costs.

Bit late to the party, but here is my 2 cents.

Matchbook now charge everyone who used an ewallet in the past a processing fee if their net commission doesn't
exceed the processing fees paid to skrill/neteller.

it is beyond stupid and unfair to charge fees based off previous activity. especially when they offered free deposits and withdrawals for ewallets. it was one of their selling points.

They are charging me 2% per withdrawal now.  based on what both matchbook and I considered free transactions in the past.
I can understand if they said you must generate X amount of commission per deposit going forward, but on past activity is just cuntish and they know it.

This is the biggest thing that I agree with from above posts:
"It is not the player's fault that Matchbook run promotions that make them no money".

It is like betfair premium charge in the way that players wouldn't have arbed using betfair if they knew premium charge was coming.

Yes it's complete rubbish. Use Smarkets instead no withdrawal fees there.

Matchbook is getting worse...

They said I have to generate "x" amount of commission for a free withdrawal. Placed 1 bet and had it settled paying commission. Have not deposited or withdrawn anything.

Asked them what the figure is now and it had gone up not down! Made 2 complaints by email but neither have been replied to. I will have to close my account.

Are they about to go bust, because it doesn't look like they know what they are doing.
