I don't know what was the exact bet and if that bet was within the market's fluctuation or not. In case that there was something very extreme, MB might be suspecting a manipulation in the price. In this case, it would be good to provide the screenshot from the other bookmaker, showing that you indeed had arming action and not something else. Also, I hope that the other bookmaker's account is in your name.
Don't start the bad comments. This post is a product of a wicked imagination.
Yeah, account is in my name, no prob.

I went ahead and sent the docs, let's see what happens...

Well I'll be damned.

Got this e-mail tonight from Matchbook:

Hi xxxxxxxx
We have refunded you the money lost due the bet placement issue.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the mistake and for any inconvenience caused.

I wasn't expecting proper customer service, so kudos to Matchbook. Btw, this isn't the first time I've had good service from them.

First time i see an exchange asking something like this.
You can try and send them the screenshot by covering the name of the bookie you placed the bet so maybe you will get the refund back. cover the stake amount too or at least a part of it, username if appears and the bet number.
I dont think they will send any infos but in any case.
Like this we can know too what happens in this kind of situations :)

I think I saw that one too. Just too bad no changes were made to this though.

you're probably right, but so what?  would you rather have 100s of empty markets, no bids no offers?

Max, every broker can offer a 2% betdaq, some even lower.

Does anyone know if any other similar exchanges like betfair or smarkets offer similar offerings like matchbook on american sports like mlb, nba, nhl, nfl and has very little juice similar to matchbook?  Matchbook has a lot of 1 and 2 cent juice lines which makes them very good but does any other site come close to matchbook on this?  If so, can someone tell me?

Have you seen matchbook has new commission generated requirements before you can make a free withdrawal. It's all been backdated to the start of the account. Currently they want me to generate £275 in commission before I can make a free withdrawal.  ???

Apparently, for every £100 deposited you have to generate £2.75 in commission or else pay 2% each time you make a withdrawal.

watch out for matchbook's traders tricks specially on in-play tennis games.
they reverse the prices so the underdog has the price of the favorite on low odds & its really tricky for the ones who are in hurry to close a bet.
it also appears a high lay bet on the favorite so it can confuse you even more.

i also want to add that having 1% comm on both bets you get less profit than having 5% comm on the winnings. trading there is pointless.

Or if you're slick enough you can just use all this reverses for some scalping  ;)  And regarding the comm, i think for some others is better a 1% on both sides rather than a 7% on 1 side. But i guess everybody has their own tactics

yes, for many of us it is ok to use Matchbook with 1% commission. I hope that soon they will add more betting markets in order to have the possibility to chose.
