Re: minimum capital to start
Yes its an Ok amount if you dont have to withdraw each month for living expenses. Just build up the balance from 2K to 10K slowly as you are learning and than you can have a nice monthly profit. This is only general as profits are very different from contry to country and betting style. About getting started you have to read the forum. Everything to get started is already there.

Re: minimum capital to start
If one has 10k starting balance what bets should be at bookies? Is there any percentage from bank on each bet? And let's say one uses just 2 bookies (sharp and soft) until soft one limits a bettor.

Re: minimum capital to start
I think the answer to the question depends a lot from your economical situation, so it s difficult to give an answer applicable for all
Speaking about myself and when I started I think 2k is enough to make experience and start learning, it s reasonable amount.
Then as the user Wolfie said I think it s fundamental to set a target of what balance level you would like to end up with with your balance and trying to achieve this slowly, I think this is the most important part

When having a significant loss go for a ride, get some rest and clear your mind

I'dlike to bump this post as I am still on my way to start .... and I won't be able to use Bet365, Smarkets, Matchbook. To add my Betfair commission is 6.5%RATTLEHEAD wrote: ↑Sun Jul 31, 2022 10:17 pmIf one has 10k starting balance what bets should be at bookies? Is there any percentage from bank on each bet? Unless you're among those hyper-talented 0.1 % of the people, like Nassim Taleb, Albert Einstein, Jim Makos, Nikola Tesla, Helenio Herrera, and so on, the best advice to all rookies is pinpointed here by the user Wolfie: minimum-capital-to-start-t8339/86851#p86851
Use the famous "10.000 hours rule", properly adapted to your needs to master plenty of game-changer skills, like risk assessment, money management, market behavior, Stats processing, in-deep expertise in your markets (soccer, basketball, etc ), and many, many more.
That'll give you a good chance of avoiding the sharks. If you avoid them, the zero-sum game is beatable and you're about to start the second leg of your journey.

Re: minimum capital to start
Begin with a 100$ bankroll on one bookie. Take small bets. Observe and understand. No more than that for many months.
Try each sports and select your favorites one.
That's the beginning.

I don't believe there is talent, to tell you the truth unless we're talking about body specifics for sports. I believe in hard work, being focused, and having a goal. These three will make anyone obsessed with something to the point failing isn't a possibility.
Re: minimum capital to start
Haha, that made me chuckle. I won't lie; I've ended up on some posts here mentioning my name after a random search. This specific post, though, is on another level. I never expected my nickname to be included between Einstein and Tesla?! Haha!arb12 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 04, 2022 1:15 amUnless you're among those hyper-talented 0.1 % of the people, like Nassim Taleb, Albert Einstein, Jim Makos, Nikola Tesla, Helenio Herrera, and so on, the best advice to all rookies is pinpointed here by the user Wolfie: minimum-capital-to-start-t8339/86851#p86851
