If all UK users have to use non UK ips in order to use the agent accounts there will be a lot of limitations since the soft bookies will still require UK ips...
You can always use 2 computers for 2 different IP-s.

This is one of the limitations...

Email just received from 188bet :

"We would like to reassure our customers that 188BET remains fully committed to the UK and its UK customers and we plan to continue offering our services within the new UK licensing framework. Its business as usual for 188BET.”

Excellent,
Maybe they invested a lot in advertisement and think it is pity to lose this money.

Today is a sad day. After many years using my Sbobet account, it has been limited to 0 Euro due to the new UK law.

Pinnacle, SBO - GONE. WHAT NEXT?

Tue Sep 16, 2014 7:42 pm

Hi Folks,

I have been arbing for .... a long time now.  Pinnacle was naturally my favourite bookie.  13 days from now - gone.

I am looking at alternatives, namely brokers, AC in particular.  I am satisfied that they are trustworthy, and after live chatting, and research on here, I can see that they they are a possibility, and VPN will help.

Getting to the point - I was wondering if they are going to be a real alternative for arbers, especially when looking at FX and transaction fees via e-wallets etc?  I have never used a broker before and along the way, either Netellar are charging, the broker is charging, the FX commission etc etc

Income will go down obvioulsy, or I will be crossing my fingers for the middles.
Many thanks for looking

Pinnacle gone? WHere are you living in? You can use broker services like Asian Connect.
Having an Asian Connect Pinnacle account is much better then having a vanilla Pinny account.

i wouldn't like to trust any agent. also the agent would be taking an unlicensed bet. this new uk law is a disaster. :'(

arbitrage is supposed to be risk free. no matter which way you look at it if you deposit say £30,000 with a betting agent and they disappear what can you do. there is risk involved.

Do you know what will be Betfair's action towards new gambling law in UK?

I think Betfair has to pay as well and they are going to since the UK is their most important market. The UK has made a deal with Gibraltar and potentially Isle of Man so that they can enforce the gambling duty.  I think there is no escape for books registered there unless they decide to drop the UK but really European books cannot afford to do that.
Malta and offshore bookies might continue taking bets without a license but e-wallets could stop serving them. Both Net and MB are regulated in the UK so that would be easy to do.
Proxies? I see no reason so far. There was nothing mentioned about IP blocking or penalizing players that bet on unregulated  sites. I think the UK has taken the view that betting on illegal sites is not illegal for the player.

I have the some questions and i would like to get some answers from the agents participating in the forum :

1. Is there any problem to connect to the agent's account (Pinnacle ,SBO) from a UK ip address?
2. Is there any problem to load those accounts from a Neteller or Skrill account based in the UK?
3. Who is the best agent in case you wish to use GBP as currecny instead of EUR? I don't want to play in EUR , I use only GBP.
4. If dafabet exit like 12bet , is there any agent offering account for any of these bookies?

We may have some unpleasant surprises till the end of the month. I am afraid that some bookies will exit in the last minute.

Thanks in advance.

I quess i do not understand this situation well. Making long story short as far as i got mail from Pin there will be no more Pinnacle or SBO in UK , right  ?

I wonder why Pin is cuting the branch they are sitting on but this is their concern. I supose that UK arbers generated a big voulume on both PIn and SBO. Now it will be less that (unless they start to use vpn and agents) ?

I am not in UK but does it mean that UK will be no more e gambling "paradise" to travel to ? I was about to go there but now i put it in doubt.
