Plato regards education as a means to achieve justice, both individual justice and social justice. According to Plato, individual justice can be obtained when each individual develops his or her ability to the fullest. In this sense, justice means excellence. For the Greeks and Plato, excellence is a virtue.
War Child is rapidly developing and deploying its life-saving work to protect, educate, and provide for the millions of children impacted by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The ongoing war in Ukraine continues to destroy vital infrastructure and services.
Over seven million people are now internally displaced. That includes more than half of the country’s children. People are being forced from their homes, and friends, often far from their family and loved ones. The trauma and human cost of this war will impact many generations to come.
War Child will not falter in our commitment to stay and support those on the frontline in Ukraine. We're independently assessing needs. Then impartially delivering life-saving help to those who need us most, when they need us most.

Premier Soccer League of Ukraine now,
The beautiful match between Dnipro-1 and Shakhtar Donetsk has been interrupted due to an Air Alert (1:1 at the moment)!
Shame on you, aggressive barbarians from the East and give freedom to the Ukrainians!
Addendum: One day Magna Carta's values will overcome prejudice.

Re: One year of madness...
(1) Humanitarian selfless Service for the benefit of the People:
Evidence of cancer was found among the ancient Greek and Egyptian civilizations. Hippocrates (the great Greek, known as the "Father of Medicine") was the first to use the word “karbinos” (meaning crab) to describe the characteristics of the disease. Hippocrates theorized cancer causation as an excess of black bile (melancholia) which
was unchallenged for 2000 years.
The first cancer ward was opened in England in 1792. In 1884, when Simms Hospital opened in New York City, it was the only hospital dedicated to cancer care (Simms Hospital later
became Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center).
(2) The possible lowest point in anti-humanitarian modern history:
- The moment of the Barbarians' attack on Cancer Children's Hospital:

- A Mother's point of view at that terrible moment:

- The Surgeon's Point of View at that terrible moment:

- The long Story of the lack of Humanity that day:

Re: One year of madness...
Ukraine today is fighting for the European Civilization's future, so I'm posting my opinion here in that thread.
European Culture is in danger.
Today the World lost Alain Delon.
Let us recall the golden days of European Popular Culture, but also of Philosophy and Humanitarian activities in all genres and activities:
Alain Delon, Marcello Mastroianni, Ennio Morricone, both Luciano Pavarotti & Boris Christoff, both Maria Callas & Ghena Dimitrova, Achod Malakian also known as Henri Verneuil, Nikos Kazantzakis, Melina Mercuri, Elias Canetti, Georgi Markov (killed by the Russian KGB with a poison-tipped umbrella), Peter Uvaliev also known as Pierre Rouve, Friedrich Hayek, Ludwig von Mises, Ayn Rand, Murray Rothbard (not European himself, but influenced by Austrian Theory), both Oriana Fallaci & Alexandros Panagoulis, both Konstantin Tsiolkovsky & Serhiy Korolyov and thousands upon thousands of others who made the European Popular Culture, Humanitarian Ideas, Philosophy, Economics, Science, Civil Rights and so on, in the status what it is today.
I'm not extremely optimistic about the future of European Civilization due to the lack of a critical mass of independent-minded people like those above. Modern people contributing to a better World are not too many. I see a lot of vulnerable people around, who spend aimlessly their productive daily lives, exposed to the propaganda on so-called social platforms etc.
I'm pretty sure that the dictatorships and regimes of the East are trying to attack in a covert way the inert minds of the masses...

Re: One year of madness...
You are opening so many issues at once. They all deserve a comment, but a decent comment for each and everyone of these would make any post/thread very long and thus unreadable by the majority.
So let me comment in bullet style:
- The battles in Ukraine are not the only danger of Western civilisation. There are other battles within the walls as well.
- The best Alain Delon movie was ‘’Purple Noon’’, which was the fist and best effort to bring ‘’Talented Mr Riplay’’ on screen. Actually, that was the movie that made Delon a star.
- You missed a number of top tier Europeans and at the same time I have an objection on your list.
- Lastly, you mentioned the dictatorships of the East, I have my own theory backed by evidence on who are these dictatorships and what is their over all plan to destroy the Western civilisation. If they succeed, then they will eat each others, because that is the way snakes do.

We have a lot of fifth columnists. We don't need Dictators to self-destroy our civilization.
I believe that everyone under 40 will see our end.
I don't know exactly what is gonna happen, but our people is so weak. Weakness is not exactly one of the characteristics of hegemons.
We should start selecting people from childhood, like the Spartans.

Since Internet appear, information is shared between all the humankind, It means that everyone have the same access to information, no matter where someone born. Of course, i know, we continue to be more efficient, but wait some years, and other countries will catch us.
About attacks in a covert way, they will try to squeeze out our differences trough social media, and they have a lot of possibilities to choose; Left vs Right, inmigration vs anti-inmigration, Men vs Women, old vs young....., in some ways, our societies seems broken.
btw; in Spain, a judge is investigating a possible Russian plot to favour the process of independence of Catalonia in 2017.

Ukraine fights for the western interests and for milking US and EU taxpayers money. War is the biggest business there right now that’s why they try to extend it as much as they can with poor being sent to the frontlines while European cities are full of Ukrainians roaming in luxury cars while you and I are fighting with the bookies for pennies
The real danger to European civilisation comes from uncontrolled immigration and woke culture and not if Russia captures Donbas or whatever the hell they do

This posting is not about the sporting markets, it is about the Human Spirit and the time for sporting time-outs among young people, living in horrifying circumstances…

I hope that all these young people will soon be able to live in a free Country where they can watch the Champions League at home surrounded by friends without the stress caused by the missile alert system...
