I am fully aware that I am not the first one to whom this has happened. But yes, on May 13 Orbit suspended my account and in a rather bizarre way.
On the same day, I made a deposit of 1800€ to my Orbit account, the previous account balance was 0.00. Shortly after that, 1100€ was added to my Orbit account. I wondered what happened and went to the transactions history on the AsianConnect account, thinking that they added 700€ less by mistake.
But, surprise. 700€ from the deposit was deducted, with a note in the details of the transaction:
Hello Team, @EUROPE kindly deduct 700 EUR on this account (my account username) as part of the ongoing Betfair investigation on Aiolikos Mytilene AFC v Kampaniakos event.
Thank you.
Note: 700 EUR deducted from his deposit 20240513-081847-826542-1.
Wow, what a way, I was quite surprised. Shortly after that, I receive an email that my Orbit account has been suspended with 1100€ on it. Allegedly, the Betfair investigation of the mentioned match is underway. Of course, that's not true. I traded the same match directly on my Betfair account, but everything is fine there, the account is still fully functional there. I also contacted Betfair support shortly after this, and they confirmed me there is no such investigation from their side. So, it is evident that Orbit is lying about the Betfair “investigation”.
But to make things even more absurd. After that traded match that was played on May 8, I made withdrawals from my Orbit, for which I would have to wait 12-13 hours, but the withdrawals went through. They suspended the account five days after the match and 1-2 successful withdrawals.
It has already been over month ago since the account was suspended, and 700€ from the deposit were taken away. AsianConnect support has no idea how long the account will be suspended.
Basically, I am opening this post more as a warning to other users that the Orbit product is not really to be trusted. If you have the opportunity to trade directly on a Betfair account, do it, regardless of the higher commission there. Learn from my mistake, because this can happen to anyone, and with much larger amounts, even though there is no investigation by Betfair, they will say that there is and suspend your account for any match you traded, regardless of the fact that you did nothing wrong did.

waiting 6 months and still the same .... be careful guys
Please be well informed that until the investigation is over, unfortunately, your Orbitx account shall remain suspended.
Kindly take note that we understand your urgency to receive an update, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.
Unfortunately, we're still awaiting a response from the third party involved in the investigation.

This is to be expected if you bet thousands of dollars on a low league games. Half of those matches are fixed.

Re: Orbit account suspended over a month ago
@Jesse Baxter lol, your post is nonsense for countless reasons. first, on what basis do you claim that "half" of all lower league matches are fixed?
secondly, orbit is an exchange, not a bookmaker. you don't bet against them, but against other customers, they take commission in any case.
you can't suspend someone's account with money on it just like that, even if the customer traded a match that might not be regular, how could he know that? it's about the exchange, if there are offers, there may be demand, orbitx is not the one who should determine which match is regular and which is not…
after all, keeping someone's account suspended for an indefinite period, without any rule that determines how long the account can be suspended, is in the style of Indian and Nigerian scams.

Liquidity on orbit is 2-10x more than on betfair. Where do you think the money comes from? You don't just bet against customers on orbit. In 4 years my account was suspended 3 times because of trading on low league markets.Lens wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 11:12 pm@Jesse Baxter lol, your post is nonsense for countless reasons. first, on what basis do you claim that "half" of all lower league matches are fixed?

Re: Orbit account suspended over a month ago
No news on this yet, people be careful with Orbit, they can potentially lock your account for an indefinite period all under the pretext of an investigation. This can probably take 10 years, I don't see what is stopping them. Always choose Betfair directly before Orbit, even though the commission is higher.

Re: Orbit account suspended over a month ago
most people chose Orbit because they have no access to Betfair, not because of the commission. Anyway, I hope this gets resolved soon and you get your money backLens wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2024 9:44 pmNo news on this yet, people be careful with Orbit, they can potentially lock your account for an indefinite period all under the pretext of an investigation. It is a pity your account is not referred by arbusers. We could have a look at it, but OK.
Is it reported anywhere else this game is investigated?
Lower Greek leagues are notorious for fixed games.

Did you trade one account against the other? Cause this would make them thing there is fund passing going on. And what were the odds and the liquidity when you made the trade?

Basically the point of the story is that Orbit is a pretty bad alternative to Betfair. I wouldn't have the courage to trade large amounts with them even on the Premiership after this. If I had to guess which country the management and staff are from, I would say India.
Re: Orbit account suspended over a month ago
No, I didnt saw anywhere else that match is under investigation. Yeah, but it is exchange, how I can know what is fixed what is not.
Of course not. It was same trade. There was big liquidity on that specific market, 100k euros at least at that time, so..
