Hi everyone,
I am new in trading, and I have a doubt...
I saw that the matched volume in orbit exchange was much higher than Betfair. Can anyone explain this as orbit exchange is white label???
Here are the picture of liquidity on orbit exchange and Betfair -

Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
Depending on the agent, liquidity can be the same (Premiumtrading i.e.) or higher (10x for Asianconnect) than Betfair's one because of the % own money risk each agent decide to take. This is what I know, if I'm wrong, please correct me.

Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
That's true. Mostly I observed, liquidity is much more higher in Orbit, maybe that's because of agents i'm using. If liquidity for home team is 100€ on Betfair, I see 500€ or 1000€ on my orbit. It makes agents' orbit much better then vanilla betfair. It's very useful specially arbing in lower leagues with poor liquidity.

Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
Then what should I do? As if agent are themselves taking risks on the bet , then it's not a good sign. As if I am a long term winner then they will try to ban my account or they will increase the commission.
I have my orbit exchange account through asianconnect.
So, Can anybody suggest me what should I do, should I keep the account with them or search for new agents?

Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
Hi,
thank you for your screenshots.
Yes, its like user "alealeale" and "Yngwie/Sawyer" wrote.
When Orbit startet a few years ago I became myself an Orbit agent through personal connections to a service called BET FOOTBALL (parts of thenformer SAMVO Betbroker team).
Yes, for every Orbit client account me the agent can choose how much risk position I will take by myself. From 0% to 100%. I can put different settings on every client. And also how much comission. All percentages up to 3 % go in to the pocket of the agent.
So the BF original market volume is multiplied up to a bigger Orbit volume because of that fact.
Your conclusions are right. (They dont want to see winners on accounts where they take own risk positions.)

It shouldn't be a problem since we're all arbitrage traders here..or..you're not?
Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
Why you think it's not a good sign? It's very normal. Do you think agents don't take risk in Pinnacle accounts?Nitu Singh wrote: Then what should I do? Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
I am new in this field and I am just over-cautious and after reading a lot's of forum posts, I am kind of getting sceptical about the long term profit from arbitrage. As if I am a long profit user for orbit exchange(via Asianconnect) then they would either increase the percentage on winning or ban my account.
So, At the end just want to ask that which broker should I choose to trade from if I want to do this for the long term. As there are many experienced persons are in this forum. So, can you share your experience with different brokers?
By the way, I have an account with Asianconnect and till now they are good and never had any big problems I used to trade with 50-200 euros.
But Orbit exchange sometimes lags a lot and sometimes they are very slow but rest is good for me. But I am just concerned that if they are taking risks on my bet then if I get profitable in the long term then they would try to kick me out.
Please share your experience in this perspective.

@Nitu Singh: if you are new in trading, how can be long term profitable Orbit user? No malice, just to understand...anyway, if you are going to arb, 90% probability you lose money at Orbit.

So, then can you suggest me other exchanges or brokers from whom I could make a profit.

Re: Orbit exchange Liquidity error
If you use it for arbitrage vs softs than there is nothing to fear.
If you are value betting and winning a lot long term than they will ban you for sure.
This should not be a problem because brokers with reputation wont keep your money. What they usually do they lower your limits and if you are long term winning they start to copy your positions with higher stake in other places. For this reason it will take a lot of time for them to ban you. So just enjoy it while it lasts.
What made me curious is that you are sure that you have a winning trading strategy. Can you elaborate on that ?

I am trying to find new methods in tennis with pre-match analysis and in-play statistics, which could favour me in the long term.Wolfie wrote: If you use it for arbitrage vs softs than there is nothing to fear.

Asianconnect will ban you for sure, they don't like winners.
once your withdraw goes 5x your deposit amount, they will start delaying the withdraw and will close your account soon

Are you serious right now? I thought brokers dont care about winners nor losers as long as they bring in volume... This is nonsense tbh from an agentsamar0013 wrote: Asianconnect will ban you for sure, they don't like winners.
