There was Brazil Serie B game played yesterday night, Victoria - Pelotas. Huge odds moves on overs. I noticed the steam and tried to trade it. Took a red in the end, didnt leave any straight bets there.
Just noticed huge amount deducted from my account, immediately got on chat asking whats the issue. Was informing that "their upline is doing investigation" regarding this match and funds will be deducted until its done.
Anyone had any bets there (may be Orbit, Betfair or whatever) and got his funds frozen? Never experienced such issue before, yeah, read some stories and Im pissed being honest as they cant give an answer how long this may take as you can imagine, read that some tennis dodgy games were investigated for months even.
Im really upset about this situation, Im double "fined" there. My trade didnt go well so there is a decent loss showing in my statement already and now they took amount was involved in trading as well.
edit. This is Orbit by Asianconnect.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
The funny fact is that I cant understand how they picked bets I placed there. Took few bets at different odds, just added amounts and its not even close to the amount that they deducted.
I was extreme happy dealing with Asianconnect before but will complain today for sure. Frozing someone money by withdrawing amount from account (transaction in a statement is marked as "withdrawal" nothing else at all) is unacceptable to me. You would think at first that someone hacked your account and stealing your money, what was my first thoughts. I would expect them to send an official e-mail stating what they did, havent received nothing. We talk about serious business here when money is involved, just cant accept such attitude.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
I bet on that match on Orbit AC and Orbit PT.
I've placed some surebets between softs and exchanges (un/ov 1,5 1st half) and, like 75% of the times for this kind of bet, I won on my soft bookies and have lost on both exchanges, ca. 500 euro AC and ca. 200 euro on PT.
No trading, just lay ov1,5 first half, settled immediately like always. I guess everything gonna be alright with your money
but so annoying when you are in good faith...

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Thanks for your input. Looking at other threads about them, makes me start worrying, a month or two of investigation or accounts closures happened from what I see. No alternatives there really, all agents got "stories". Requested withdrawal of what I got there, accepted, wont place single bet there untill my case is resolved, dont want to wake up one day to realize I can't log in there. Still think it is absolutely unprofessionall behaviour, withdrawing money from customer account without any notice. Oh well, even if money is returned and I decide still bet with them, will keep my balance at lowest point possible, wont call them safe agent anymore.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
İ think this match ,is selled by betfair ,betfair is so big part in brasil seria b ,seria c and also another lower division. All under goalline lost in betfair .But one of the bet type ,it is goal goal won in the betfair side and lost in the ,soft side.More people ,frastuted in this match.if they think this match selled ,why lost betsfirst half 1.5 under,2.5 under ,3.5 under not return to the game balance?if both team score selled ,all bets must void or must check again
Orbit side ,they withdraw my money on my game balance and My one side lost n this point.İf this bet result not give by ,orbit system.İ will sure that this match selled by Betfair company.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Dont know, seen a lot already as im in business for years. Wouldnt be surprised anyway after some dodgy Betfair behaviour last weeks, posted on other forum that I suspect them to act against traders which seems unbelieveable but noticed some very weird practices suddenly happening on daily basis, comparing them to soft bookies.
I will be bothering Asianconnect untill they pay me back, this is new to me, how on earth they confirm settling my overs betts as LOST, deducting money, so they got no issues bets were legit and same time they witholding money were involved in trading AS WELL so they are not sure about betting. This is pure stupidity. If you not sure about bets, you just wait untill investigation is done, not settling them.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
I had absolutely the same issue but with another betting agent. I decided to give them time to sort this out with Orbit and hope this can take not longer than a week. I really want to restrain from going public and respectively to regulators and hope the brokers can fix this in a reasonable timeframe. There was more than 250k matched at some point on one of the markets, I guess thousand of legit bettors like me without any bad intentions are affected right now. Betfair/Orbit/Brokers just need to solve this ASAP.
If that doesn't happen what do you think is the best Curacao regulator who could be approached for a potential complaint? I noticed that both Orbit and the main brokers are licensed and regulated by the Curacao Gaming Authority.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Curacao? Im afraid they wont care.
The truth is loads of heavily traded games like this one every single week in Betfair. Some with odds smashed to the bottom and failing miserably. You cannot say something is fixed for sure these days unless you see dodgy behaviour on a stream. Too many manipulations, lot of "snowball effect" betting, first one lump on dodgy team, bet goes to the public and half of Blogabet lumping heavy following tipster.
I dont really care if this was fixed or not. So what, they expect me to grab a phone and call players/referee to ask if they plan to fix a game cause it may cause me trouble betting there? Bullshit it is.
The truth is they are not able to prove anything dodgy unless they catch a hand when someone is passing brown envelope to players before kick off. Otherwise its just a pure speculation. Lots of traders simply follow money in exchange, bet steam chasing and now we should allow them just seize our money? But we live in a world where bookie or broker can grab your funds and hide behind "we cannot provide any evidences to avoid people acting the same in the future" which is absolutely insane.
Im gonna give them a week before going public. Please post here if anyone else got affected, we've got chances if we get together.

I've seen here brokers responding to user's complaints which has been always very useful. I hope Asianconnect or any other broker could comment your issue that obviously affected many punters and is of great community interest.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Same game, same broker, same issues. Since HT everything started to look suspicious, but the matched amounts gave some confidence and it was Brazil Serie B after all (not that bad, right?). Obviously it looked like free money on the table as such trading situations happen time from time, so I took it. Funny thing everything got settled correctly after the game and then a couple days after here I am reading your post with familiar team names.
Losses happen and they can be covered, but BF & co. acting like soft bookies doesn't bring confidence for the future. Let's see how this turns out and stay together, it is not just about the money, it is a matter of principle too.

I was wondering did this happen to bettors who used Betfair directly and not Orbit. Did Betfair block their balances?

But in reality what can we do? Simply not much. Where would you go to trade? Betfair, Orbit, same crap, they act same way. But since I trade Betfair since ages, never r heard about confiscating any money, dont matter what dodgy game involved and plenty of them on daily basis. May be due in exception to PC avoiding but not sure about this case. Anyone can confirm that placed bets on this game with Betfair and its same situation? All I heard was voiding bets by them but not confiscating. I guess must be Orbit dodgy behaviour now? Or agent rather?
Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Exactly. Betting world isnt going right way last years. Show them they can rob people, its going to be more often. The hell, its not my responsibility to make a research before each game if any team is dodgy or not. If they are suspicious about some of them, take the games off and dont let people bet, fair enough. But I refuse to agree to pure theft which is settling my trades as LOST and now WITHDRAWING my balance without any notice (prior or even short email after its done) stating that it was fine for them taking my money lost from trades and now taking balance. Agreeing to such behaviour will lead to situation when they can confiscate balance after any game cause they simply didnt like number of money matched there.

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Guys. what kind of bets you placed there? You were trading or just placed straight bets there? Cause I wonder if they voided straight bets? Still cant this figure out. I placed some bets pre-ko, some in - play and cant really figure out what amounts they holding, nothing is right here when I try to add amounts.
Still dont know how is this possible they left my lost trades in a statement and now freezing some (?) money involved in trading. I guess most straight bets were on overs. They voided all your straight bets? Or left them settled as mine trades?

Re: Orbit game investigated and funds frozen
Seems all those are involved in this huge misunderstanding Betfair, Orbit, several different agents and absolutely noone is willing to take responsibility for 4 days already for blocking legit bettors' own money.
