Man Im afraid we cannot do anything really Ive done my own research and there is no way to complain about brokers really. Read almost everywhere that they are not willing to discuss such cases with customers and all you can do is praying its gonna be solved within decent timeframe and for your favour. Dont know about Curacao but other ways simply dont exist which is crap.

Anyway even if one or another decide to seize your money what can you do? Read a lot lately and all brokers got some bad reviews. There isnt 100% sure option if you need them to trade/place your bets.

Being you I would rather be prepared for weeks until they sort this out, this is what I read about yesterday...

I’m affected too.

I did heavy trading on first half over/under 1,5 goals market and finally have been green with over 2k on both sides.

There have been games with heavy betting action like this nearly every day in the last week and I tried to trade some of time, not everytime successfully. Clearly not all have been fixed matches as there have been lots of fake drops also. I remember one game where the over 1,5 1st half has been trading around 1,3 at game start – and didn’t hit.

My Orbit account is suspended since Sunday afternoon with 5 big figures in it.

If there has to be done some investigation why don’t they block only the amount gained from this betting event but my whole balance?

My agent is Betinasia and I have to say that until Sunday they were a perfect business partner for a long time. Every problem got resolved in nearly no time.
Now BetinAsia support is telling me that Orbit is checking my betting activity and that it’s a regular procedure and that I have to wait until my account gets cleared by Orbit but no time frame given.

My account is refered by Arbusers so perhaps he could get involved.
Perhaps he could get more information than the standard responses that we get.

Let’s hope the best but my feeling is that this could take a long time as they were not able to resolve this in 3 days.

Seems to me half of the forum is affected one way or another.
I will give it some more days before contacting agents, probably on Monday.

The misery for us, the normal punters continues for 6th day.

BetinAsia - states that Orbit should take a decision and they gave no new updates. Can't say timeframe.
Orbit - states that Betfair still runs an investigation and they wait for updates, cannot do anything before that. Can't say timeframe.
Betfair - states that they continue investigating but cannot give more details to non-Betfair customers, they advise we contact our agents directly. Can't say timeframe.

And the cycle goes on an on, 3 self-claimed regulated parties involved and absolutely noone is willing to take responsibility for their actions. 6 days whole balances remain blocked which is pure theft.

It amazes me how a reputable company as Betfair continues this unregulated practice for blocking people's money for almost a week already. They could void the bets if they decide to but release our balances.

Usually these cases take months.

Agents - allright, they may take a position. But Betfair? Dont know why would they care, its not their money, its our money. As abovementioned, there are literally dozens supposedely fixed matches every single week, never heard about Betfair investigating anything (talking about football, cause I dont really follow other sports). And believe me, there were games so blantant with so much money in it you couldnt imagine. So no idea who is pushing now and from where but this is weird. Things may have changed lately...

This is bullshit but Im afraid you may say goodbye to your money in worst scenario. And I cant even image how does people feel who got their accounts with brokers suspended completelu. Or wait months for any decision We were unlucky to pick wrong game. There was tennis match Davydenko - Arguello in august 2007, over 3.5 million pounds traded, a lot more than usually placed in such matches, Betfair decided to investigate holding money, I dont know how it ends, there is a topic on a forum which has over 80 pages and its ends in January next year with an conclusion that decision is not made yet...

Let's make it clear, Betfair CANNOT hold our own money for weeks, not to speak for months. They are a regulated company and just CANNOT do this.

Funny Enough they can except if you are as rich and big as them.

Best thing is to be patient and speak to your referral manager if you have any

Need to agree Im afraid. Just cant see any way to force them to speed up investigation, What can we do, complain to their regulator? Yeah will wait for answer for weeks I guess and what we get is - most probably - redirecting us to their T&C where - I guess - they reserve a right to investigate as long as it is necessery.

I spent enough time trying to re-open my account with them to realize they can do exactly what they want and how long they want to have any hopes now. If you bother them they will even stop answering your e-mails as they did to me. Pointless. Better grab a beer and keeping fingers crossed.

Not a sign of resolution of our problems on Monday, can you please assist contacting them?

Could you please guys answer the following questions during this morning?
1. Is is all your balance frozen in your Orbit account, or is it just the liability of this particular market?
2. Is this only for Orbit accounts, or is it for genuine Betfair accounts (not Orbit, not agent's) that are affected?

In my own case:
1. My whole balance is blocked by BetInAsia. I was trading the game and they seem to have blocked all profits from the winning back bets but the losing lay bets were not taken into consideration. As a result the whole balance is blocked.
2. Orbit account maintained by BetinAsia.
