I also tried to log in with the login data from Marathonbet account (www.marathonbet.com) on Panbet website (www.marathonbet.co.uk) and I managed to do that, so it seams that Marathon and Panbet are now the same bookie with only one account per person.  :(
You are right, now I checked  that... :(

Anyone got a good notion of what Marathonbet/Panbet's average rate of juice/vig/profit margin is? Somewhere I saw someone saying it was down around Pinnacles 2.4% average.

Depending on the sport they have an incredible low juice. In example, on Kontinental Hockey League (Russia) an Asian handicap market (-1.5)  was 1.47 and 3 (which is less than 1.5%). On other leagues they have similar margin.

I opened an account with them today. Made few bets, not even surebets, just from tips. All bets were like 5,10,20,25€ and after 8th bet. My account was limited. And now max stakes are like 50€ on big leagues like Bundesliga football and Euroleague Basketball, 5€ on Smaller like Norwegian hockey etc and 1€ on like 3rd division german football..

WTF is this, you limit some one 1h after opening the account and making 8 bets for a total of like 150€

Yeah i agree , Marathon is one of the best.

best odds on market with 2-3% payout , easy site to navigate , never asked me ay proof of ID , and i have made a lot of withdrawals.

Almost every arb includes Marathon .

Any infos about Marathon's behaviour in terms of voiding bets (in term of arbs 5-10% or even higher ones due to their too high odds compared to other bookies???)

Thanks for info!

been voided once .. brazil cup .. but the bet was due in 48 hours .. i have noticed a pattern of them screwing up odds around 6am gmt for both japan baseball and mlb twice in the past 14 days .. a couple of hours prior to game start ..i placed bets on reversed odds with 4.5 to 6% margin and they stuck even after they switched them back (keep in mind my bets were small due to limit (20 euro on one and 25 on the other ).. there were of course some 20% margins on reversed odds that i was tempted to bet as single bets just for kicks .. (1.5 at bet365 1.53 at pinny 2.7ish at marathon .. worth the risk of a single bet..and if voided ya just get your money back)

Hi,

5-10% arbs on Marathon are completely normal thing...
However, I would think twice before place surebets above 10%

Great book btw, even though the limits.

I exchanged some pms with a manager of Marathon/panbet.
Here is what he said:

I had a read of your forum concerning us and im quite pleased with the reaction most punters have with us. We are working towards big improvements this year including a big marketing push to make us more visable in western europe. I understand a few of your posters frustration at having their accounts limited, i think there may be a few porkeys being told, yes we will limit arbers if they bet big, and do it consistantly. To be honest most small arbers will sneak under the radar, but one of the problems is that any punter who late bets with us will be restricted quite a lot, and for those arbers that use auto software this can be the case. I know most arbers will lock in a small profit and be happy but some of the greedy ones ruin it for the rest, and as i am sure you have noticed are margins make us heaven for an arber.

I am more than happy to answer any questions i can from you or your posters. I will put my email address below beacuse i have to login to see if i have any messages and i have already forgotten my details twice Smiley Please dont hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries or problems with us.

All the best

I have his e-mail address. If anyone intrested for serious reasons only, i can shoot it.

I have never "late bet", stake more than £50 or use any software

I had a couple of good days and most of my bets with them came in and won around £200 - that was the reason I was limited and nothing else and I'm sure I am not the only one this has happened to

If £50 is "betting big" then I must be one of the biggest punters in the world  ::)
You are an arber....they don't like arbers....if you bet on low odds(odds when other bookies offer better odds) even large amounts, and play some multiples i think you can last longer.
