Hello,
I would discuss with you about an issue that I encountered with Pinnacle.
Yesterday they refused me a withdrawal of 24.000€, that I won sunday, and bring my balance to my initial deposit (basically they cancelled my bets).
I immediately contacted them, and they reply me that, according to their opinion, I have bet on a wrong line and they are able to delete everything.
What I'm really disappointed is that Pinnacle always declared to be Arbitrage Friendly (that basically we are all agree to say that is a mistake of one of the bookmaker that is involved in the arbitrage opportunity).
But what I see, is that if I found the "mistake" in Pinnacle they are exactly the same as every other bookmakers in the world and will delete the bets.
I think this is really bad for every arbers.
What do you think about that?
"Loosing" 24.000€ caused me a really bad mood and discouragement.
P.S: sorry for my bad English

Re: Pinnacle Issue
Did you bet on Ekaterina Makarova vs Emilie Lindh ? I am asking because same thing happened to me. They put my bets on pending from accepted. And they said it was due to an internal review. Did they say the same to you ?

Re: Pinnacle Issue
Ive had a few voided bets from Pinnacle over the years, one for bad lines and one or two for betting after the start time (Which it wasnt but they wernt having any of it). They wont change their mind im afraid.
I would say take the hit on the chin and carry on, you will hopefully soon recover the loss. Just try to avoid Pinnacle odds that are way too good in future, its very rare they void.

Re: Pinnacle Issue
No not the same.
The bad thing is that if I check in the graded bets list, everything is correct , accepted and is written that I won 24000€....but the balance is not at 24000.
They manually deducted the winning amounts.
This is their answer:
"Since the wager tickets themselves cannot be updated the result, we manually deducted your winning amounts from your account. "
THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE I THINK.
Below the graded list that I can still see in the account:

Re: Pinnacle Issue
What do you mean out of line?
What I would say, when we make arbitrage between 2 boomakers, of course one of them is making the mistake.
In this case, I thought that the mistake was made by Pinnacle and I bet on this.
Then they deleted the wins.
Actually is the same thing that the soft books always do. I really don't understand why Pinnacle should be named a sharp book if, at this point, they can void, delete or do what they want.
They can not say that are arbitrage friendly!!!!
Only because they made less mistakes than every other bookmakers????
I think that is really hard to stay in the arbitrage world if EVERY bookmakers ALWAYS do what they want......

Re: Pinnacle Issue
My opinion is that Pinnacle is not what it used to be. Even though they are still ''Arbitrage friendly'', when someone is extremely sharp he will face barriers. These barriers could range from delays in accepting a bet, to void bets.
@baselstrasse, could you tell us what were the bets they cancelled? I m asking this in order to see if there was a palp or anything else like this. If there is no palp, Pinnacle should honour the bet and pay. Period. Also, what was the history of the account until that moment.
Thank you for reporting the case in our forum as we all get wiser from it.

I bet about 20-30K this year and they always paid and always fast. But of course I used it always to make arbitrage where the mistakes was in other soft books.
The bet was on Under/Over games of some tennis matches. Maybe was a palp...maybe not. But actually I considered them as wrong and I bet.
Almost the same things that I do on every other books...when I consider that their odd is too high, I bet on this.

In these days I did some value bets on tennis and on one match in pinnacle they wronged the pairings of the game, it was an ITF game , so maybe was the same that was voided to you and also the odds were reversed in the money line

Re: Pinnacle Issue
If the account is that old then it is in a good standing position.
It is important to know if the bets you placed were pals or not. If for example the real odds are 1.68 and you bet in 2.68 then we are having a clear palp. This is no justification for Pinnacle or any other bookmaker of course, who is obliged to offer no palp odds. But if the odds are 1.68 and you bet in 1.75 then the bookmaker has an opinion and must honour the bets.

Of course was a mistake, but, as you also said, it's not a justification. Really hard to always fight with this bad behaviour of the books.
Then I would clarify better the situation: the bets were paied and declared as WON (as you can see in the pic in my previous post).
I had 24000€ in my account for about 16hours. Then they manually deleted...really bad situation.

Was very good odds. Maybe real 1,2 and bet at 1,9.Arbusers wrote: If the account is that old then it is in a good standing position.

So in the end was a palpable error? In that case is their right to do it; it is in the contract you signed with them

Re: Pinnacle Issue
The 1.2 to 1.9 odds difference is big and should be considered as a palp.
I suggest you take a look at Pinnacle's registration agreement and see what it says about this action.

Re: Pinnacle Issue
I think that the important is just to know it and consider it in the risk management while valuebetting and arbing; also consider that they must also void losing bets if there was a palpable error it happend to me on willhill; in fact palpables aren’t an issue if you valuebet but they are when you arb
