Exactly. Three or four years ago I was sitting at Miami International on layover talking to some guy on his way from Curacao to Vegas. Now anyone who reads the fine print should now that Willemstad, Curacao is Grand Central Station for Pinnacle. This guy told me his impression from a week of poking around on that sunburnt Dutch rock off the coast of Venezuela was that is wasn't so much a bookmaker as it was a betting syndicate mostly consisting of New York and Miami Jews (perhaps not surprising they chose Curacao as it has one of the oldest functioning Synagogues in the Americas though back in the 1600's the big business going down there wasn't betting but rather the slave trade).
Hmmm Jews ... why i am not surprised?

On the contary, I think it will encourage players and will extend their horizon.

Let's say you can hold your breath for 40 seconds and you think it's very good. You're happy with your results but then one day, you met a guy who can hold his breath for 120 seconds. You're shocked. 'Til that day, it was impossible for you because you had programmed your brain that way. Now, your point of view has changed and you start to think yes, it's possible to hold your breath for 120 seconds. Then you start to hold your breath for 60 seconds, then 90 seconds. If you had didn't met that guy, you would think it's impossible to hold your breath for 90+ seconds.

Somebody rocked my world too! Flashback: Year 2011! There was a betfair contest in Geek's Toy forum, all traders post a video of their last 3 months profit. I was not arbing in that times, my main interests were handicapping and laying horses at Betfair. My horse racing system was working flawless (then it turned out cold as you can guess!) and I was happy with my profits. My profits were not massive or fantastic but it was good. Still, In order to compare my performance with other traders, I decided to check other traders' results. I saw some guys who had higher profit then me but difference was not so dramatical 'til I saw Dr. Güven's (also known as Psychoff) video.

250,000$ in 3 months! Oh, my god! How it could be possible? 'Til that day, making more then 10k/month was nothing but a fairytale for me..then I met a guy who makes 250k in 3 months..

It changed my point of view, extended my horizon. I started to aim higher and increased my profits. When you met a person who is better then you, that's a great chance to learn new things and improve yourself!

Exactly ;)

Take a look also at Paulo Rebelo videos on Youtube (don't know if there are some in English version).
He is a portuguese guy who trade mainly football in Betfair.
He owns 2 Ferraris, an apartment in Madri and another in London, since Portugal does not have sports betting legislation, as yet.

Yes, I know Rebelo of course..

Btw, do you know Billy Walters? You say Rebelo owns 2 Ferraris, an apartment in Madrid and London.
Well, Billy Walters owns Las Vegas. This is end of the story I guess..

This is true in most sports but in football they just trail Asia.
There is an interview with one Pinnacle's traders(youtube) where he speaks about player profiling(sharps, etc) but I wonder how effective that is when so many bets go through agents. Isn't betting via an agent essentially anonymous to the book?

Well Yngwie, I understand what you mean and I am of course available to learn new things which would help to bring me closer to the so much wanted success. I have learned a lot from this forum and will continue to do so :)
What I tried to say is that I, and I'm sure a lot of other small bank players who do not make a living from arbing (yet),  feel very small compared to those numbers when thinking about the own bank and stakes. Peanut players, as you once called them on a different thread.  :)

I hope you don't get me wrong and continue to bring value to us by sharing your experience.

I find yngwie's post informative, interesting, enjoyable and clever, as an experienced arber I've often thought he's a breath of fresh air for newbies, if any of these "peanut players" aren't happy with Yngwie's post's let them say, quite the contrary although seems you have a little problem with them whitesnake, I've read many posts on arbing forums, this guy's posts are top notch.

I suspect that there is something unique going on with Pinnacle, but please elaborate.
