Old Post but interesting. My point of view is that betting only on Softbooks at value odds is still a gamble in long run for average punter. I been arbing for almost 2 months now and in 2 months time, I been up on Pinny around 6-7k. I deposited only $1500 in 1st month into Pinny account and my 1st withdraw from pinny was of $4500. THen I deposited again $500 and my 2nd withdraw was $2600. RIght now around $2000 worth of bets are pending at pinny.

So in the long run average punter will lose even if he bets only on value odds with softbookies.

So 2 months you consider "long run"?  I assure you, you just had a "lucky streak" at Pinny and WILL lose money there in the end if you continue arbing.  Your post does not make sense.  If valuebetting makes you lose money, why would soft books limit your account?  If by valuebetting they still hold an edge, there is absolutely no reason for them to limit you.

If you do some heavy volume shit and i mean heavy you will see that you are simply wrong... In 4 years i have lost at asians ~250k  with about 12million turnover. You are simply having a lucky streak

If im not mistaken Yng has also reported once similar amounts.

Hello!

I would like to refine the idea to maximize the profit. I have worked in a bank with Business Intelligence, so I have some experience to find patterns.

Would anyone mind to provide me the arbitrage history with Pinnacle? (1.000 bets or more)

If I get some insights, I am gonna share with of course.

Thanks!!

In my experience 80% of times my  money goes from Pinnacle to soft bookies. I think I will make some experiments with small bets in soft bookies.

Though I never tried Value betting but I stop believing in Value betting anymore. During my last 2 months of arbitrage betting with betting volume  of $305,000 only on Pinnacle, I am up almost $15,000. In last 2 months I am down on every single soft book except 1. Bookies must be loving me.

I started arbing in Jan 2016. From Jan 2016 till April 2016, I was definitely up on pinnacle. But I don't have exact figure because my laptop with all the data was stolen.

Now If I look again on Pinnacle account for last 2 months, I am up $15k with betting volume of $305,000 only on Pinnacle. I will post my result at end of every month.

Tonight my all money again end in Pinnacle as I lose every single bet I placed on softbooks. Now I have to wait 2-3 days for money transfer in my bank account and have to pay extra charges because this will be my 2nd withdraw for the month. THere are so many arbs in front of me right now as it's weekend but I can't do anything because my all money is with Pinancle.

How many bets are we talking about here?  Anything under 1k is a very small sample.  I think every single user on this forum can tell you that in the end, you'll lose money at Pinnacle.  :)

Sure. take all the money by value betting and being stressed if you encounter long run of losses by doing value betting. I am happy arbing with moderate but consistent profit. I am not even touching value betting from a million mile distance.

Everyone has their own path and preferences.
To me getting limited all the time and having to go thru the hassle of sweating cashouts and the different rules that some books have for games to capture a 3% Arb was more stressful than anything.

For you its a losing streak, which I get.

Noone likes losing.

But the streaks impact on your bankroll are minimized by solid bankroll management and proper bet sizing.

You can also take further steps to minimize variance by looking for lines within 20 minutes of closing (Betting market has corrected opening line and thus these are the most accurate odds of the day) or only targeting the highest percentages of value or only targeting sides that the public more often than not doesn't like to bet (Unders and UnderDogs)

Your quote of.......

"So in the long run average punter will lose even if he bets only on value odds with softbookies."

is just laughable.

And here is why.......... Pinny's player pool is huge, and the bet limits they accept are also huge and also Pinny doesn't ban winners. Now compare that to a soft book who will limit your bet amount or close your account if you win and who has a $500 cap on a game and so therefor caters to random fish (losing) bettors.

Whose line should be more respected and where can you make your profit from?

It's a shame that some people in this forum believe that they will lose in the long run in softs,if they are doing value betting with them against Asians. There is no logic behind that. The softs are not bookies any more, they don't want to balance their books. They only care to have the most stupid people in the world,in their account databases.Their business is to lay the bets of animals not humans. On the other hand the Asians business is to balance their books and don't care if someone is a winner or not. They are using the basic law of "supply and demand".If someone in this forum believe that it is possible to lose in softs much more than in Asians in the long run(doing value betting soft vs asians),then i believe that he/she has not the mental capacity to be in this business.

This is just my opinion!

The same guy who left 5500$ open on a bet with negative value, just because he could not accept his own mistake and take a loss, says that he wouldn't think about value betting.
You justify this just because you won at pinnacle over 2 months..
If I were you i would take all my money somewhere else, or start reading and learning about what you are doing..
