I signed up for BetBurger expecting to try it out and see if it was right for me. Within 10 minutes of accessing the platform, I realized it wasn't what I was looking for and immediately froze my account — a feature they provide for when you're not planning to use the service. I hadn’t even completed my account setup, which they later emailed me about.

Given that I didn’t use the product in any meaningful way, I thought requesting a refund or even a partial one was reasonable. Unfortunately, I was met with rigid, impersonal policies and a flat-out refusal.

After reviewing their refund page, it’s clear that BetBurger’s policy is designed to protect their revenue, not their users. They mention they may deduct:

Charges based on a 7-day minimum, even if you used just minutes,

A €35 “compensation fee”,

A 6% processing fee,

And they even say you won’t get a refund if it’s your own fault — including if the service just doesn’t work well for you.

Even worse, there’s no consideration for how little time was spent on the platform. No cooling-off period, no grace window, no room for human understanding. Just blanket refusal.

I’m not someone who typically asks for refunds, and yes — I didn’t read the terms in detail before purchasing. But honestly, how many people read fine print expecting to be denied a refund after 10 minutes of non-use?

Bottom line:

If you're unsure whether BetBurger is for you, don’t expect any flexibility or customer support.

Their refund policy is heavily weighted against users and lacks basic fairness.

Even acting in good faith and barely using the platform gets you nowhere.

I’d recommend trying a service that stands behind its product and values real customer satisfaction — not just strict enforcement of fine print.

TL:DR They have shady practices and do not care about you. It's all about your money. They can't afford to refund you, and that's sad!

Some services are more flexible with the refund, where are you based ?

I can recommend solutions for you based on your location

Many complaints in the forum from new accs lately, maybe it is because of the summer season
How much you paid? It was the 1st time you tried to use their services and tried to cancel?
Other alert services advertise the money back guarantee scheme, maybe you should try them and then ask for the refund.
If I were you, I would give them a second chance.
