Hi everyone,
as indicated by the forum title I am newbie.
After reading some positive comments about AsianConnect, I registered there yesterday and made a first small deposit.
My deposit was declined. I contacted the live chat support and they told me this was because someone else had the same IP address as I and that I had to contact their KYC to explain it.
I explained them I am using a VPN because their url is blacklisted in Greece by the Gaming Commission and is being blocked. Apparently someone else is using the same VPN service and has selected the same VPN server location so he ended up having the same IP address.
They came back telling me that they have found another account with the same details as I. They asked if I had registered with another email in the past and to send them any alternate email address I might have used.
This as one can understand made me worry if I have security issues and someone is using my name etc. I asked them for more details which I didn't get because they didn't seem tom understand the security concern.
After the exchange of several emails with a representative who seemed not to really know what actually a VPN is it turned out the details they meant were just the IP address.
Once again I tried to explain how this can occur with the use of the same VPN by two different persons but they don't seem to understand.
In the end they said they will allow me to use their site but they excluded me from any promotion.
And on top of that they threatened that if I use a VPN again they will close my account.
I have the feeling that this is due to the ignorance of the representative who didn't seem to understand much about the issue. Can a simple representative make such decisions at Asianconnect? If yes this can be dangerous. Is there a way to escalate the issue to a supervisor?
As mentioned their primary url is blocked in Greece as you can see in the screenshot.
I have found an alternate url which isn't blocked at the moment but there is no guarantee that it will not be blocked in the future and I won't be able to access my account without the use of a VPN risking the closing of my account an losing of my money.
Has anyone else faced a similar issue with Asianconnect?
Any advice from the experienced members would be very much appreciated.

Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
We are informed by the OP, his account not being referred by arbusers. Therefore we can't intervene on his behalf.
I am still scratching my head, what are the reasons for people not registering via our forum. In reality, it pays using our forum, because you get the cash backs we secured for our members. And the justification ''we never heard of arbusers before'' is solid BS, because we are in the first google page if you search for BetInAsia, AsianConnect, and all other related topics. Anyways, we can't force anyone.
Other than that, I would like to remind you of the following: arbusers-policy-and-procedures-for-complaints-t8267/ We are not here to leverage anyone's cause.
Also, I reject the opinion that AsianConnect's employees are clueless. Trust me, they are not.
Good luck.

I would gladly do that for sure but too late now why wouldnt I?
Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
Nah. People simply could register before they spotted arbusers. That happened to me. Ive heard about AsianConnect ages ago from friend of mine, registered and months after found arbusers. You may even start a poll asking why you did not register using arbusers link giving some most popular answers...arbusers wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 11:31 amAnd the justification ''we never heard of arbusers before'' is solid BS, because we are in the first google page if you search for BetInAsia, AsianConnect,

I don't think anyone could grasp the whole concept and nuances in using Brokers as a way of betting. Most people just click register on AC/BiA thinking it is the same as Betfair, and shrug. It is much easier, it is the default option, and so on. And on top of that most people think referral links are a way of enriching someone else without any real benefit for himself.
I, personally had to write to Arbusers 3-4 PMs until I get the things right and choose best option for my situation/need. I am really grateful that I did it, but still it is too much work/time/effort involved. And yes I can confirm 100% that it is a MUST to use Arbusers, but.... we humans are lazy.
Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
It is true for me for sure. Even though I have been in the sphere for over 18 years, I first found the forum, started writing, and ONLY AFTER spending some time here, and read so many post about the Brokers I realized the value in using Arbuser as a referral.arbusers wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 11:31 amAnd the justification ''we never heard of arbusers before'' is solid BS, because we are in the first google page if you search for BetInAsia, AsianConnect, and all other related topics.

And as for not using the referral, I registered here a couple of months ago and found out about referrals only after I registered at ansianconnect. which happened to a couple of others as I see.
I am new at arbing and not a heavy bettor and I visit arbusers not that frequently.
Anyway thanks for you support and the good luck wishes.

To give an example, here is what I asked:
And here is what they answered:
This guy has no clue what a VPN is. He confuses it with the IP address.
Besides that they asked if I know someone named "Athanasios", because someone with that name was using the same IP as I.
"Athanasios" is a common male first name in Greece. There are thousands of Greeks with that name. Everyone knows someone named "Athanasios".
So I told the I had a former colleague with that name. They concluded that it was my former colleague using the same IP
How on earth can someone come to such an arbitrary conclusion.
I gave them the full name of former colleague and asked if this was really the guy.
Guess what: They never answered that
I have not interacted with many representatives at AsianConnect so I can't have a general opinion.
But believe me a couple of those I interacted with are really clueless.

Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
The answers you screenshot are clear in my view.
They would never answer this question as it would be a major GDPR violation. Imagine confirming this and then you come to any forum with screenshots of 3rd party data leaked. Not sure if they are obliged to follow GDPR as they are outside the EU, but many companies follow it even if they dont have to. I believe you are clueless, not them.

Let's not make it personal here. I understand the OP has complete access to his funds and he is free to use them at will. Hopefully, his cooperation with AsianConnect will be fine, (even without a bonus). We all get wiser even from the smallest case.

Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
so why not try a different VPN company? if you can get an IP that nobody else uses, then you don't have the problem, the next person who uses that IP has the problem with AsianConnect. Or connect from another country server.

So in your view in order to access AsianConnect I need to set up my "own private VPN"?
Do you know what a private VPN is? Have you any idea what it costs to setup and maintain a private VPN?
This is either an outrageous or simply a clueless demand by a clueless representative. I go for the second option.
2. Asking if I know a person with a name so common that tenths of thousands Greeks carry it and any Greek knows at least 5-6 persons with that name that is clueless my friend.
Unless they meant that "Athanasios" is a last name which is not so common and that would already be a GDPR violation.
And I thought personal insults would be moderated here.

And it's not the next person who has the problem I believe. They interpret this as one person having two accounts so both person will have a problem in the end.
Connecting from another server is not a solution. If someone of the thousands of customers of my VPN service who happens to be at AsianConnect coincidentally selects the same server we might sometime get the same IP address anyway. It's just a matter of probabilities.
The issue to my mind should be simple. If they identify two accounts with the same IP address why don't they just conduct a thorough identification including bank/payment service account, address, ID documents and even video calls?

I am already paying a subscription to a VPN provider. Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
VPNS can be private, you can setup one yourself using OpenVPN on a VPS that you solely control.
Just cancel your own vpn service and follow this:
https://www.digitalocean.com/solutions/vpn
Choose the country you need and done, you will be the only person in the entire world using that IP.

I already said that.
But it's not at all free.
As I also said that the cost is to high just for accessing a broker.
DigitalOcean is one of the cheaper solutions out there but it still is a multiple of the subscription I pay at my current VPN service.
Which by the way I cannot cancel because I have prepaid for a year.

4 USD/mo is a multiple of your current vpn price? Really?

Re: Problem registering at AsianConnect
mate, in general everthing becomes pointless at some moment, if they say you cannot play with them, just F them all, there is a full list of brokers which are also affiliated with Arbusers, and you could use the link to go under the Arbusers wing.
Just look at them Betinasia, PremiumTradings, Sportmarket.
