Sportmarket scam

Sun Jun 07, 2020 11:53 am

Hello everyone, I could not stand it and started looking for reviews about them, because I have not yet met such arrogance, see what they require in order to make a deposit in bitcoins, I think this company has big problems because in other words it is not understandably,
only sick people can demand this from the player
Hello again,

Kindly note that in order to flag your Sportmarket account, all requirements have to be met.

1. Additional identity document: we currently hold your international passport copy, so please send us both sides of your driver's license, with all edges and corners clearly visible

2. Further, we would need additional residential confirmation document. We currently hold your bank statement, so we would need some of the utility bills addressed on your own name. Please send us a clear picture or a PDF file attachment of the most recent, full size proof of residence document for the period of last three months, showing your full name and the residential address stated in your Sportmarket account.

Acceptable documentation: utility bills such as electricity/gas/water/ TV/Internet bills, official government taxes or proof of residence from local municipality or the Police.
Kindly note that we do not accept mobile phone bills as a proof of residency nor screenshots or images printed directly from webpage. Please note that any document sent must have all the edges clearly visible.

3. BTC account confirmation: your international passport copy next to your Ledger wallet.

4. More details regarding the origin of the funds you intend to deposit, i.e transfer FIAT to BTC, supporting documents that can confirm your claims (for example, bank statements).

Given the sensitivity of the request, we would kindly ask you to send us the required documentation at kyc@sportmarket.com and our team will advise you accordingly.

Hopefully this  explains.

We remain at your disposal.

Kind Regards,

Melissa

Hello,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Kindly note that we understand that this procedure can be annoying and rest assured that our intention is not to bother you in any way. However, we need to follow strict regulations when it comes to the usage of bitcoin, so all previously required documents have to be delivered prior to any transaction via this method.

Given the sensitivity of the request, we would kindly ask you to send us the required documentation at kyc@sportmarket.com and our team will advise you accordingly.

We hope you will understand our position here.

All the best,

Note all this was requested after the complete verification of the account earlier))))))))))))))))

See nothing wrong tbh. I would be afraid if an agent is accepting huge sums via bitcoins without proper KYC.

You buy bitcoins for cash, you have no proof, yet you expect an agent to accept those funds? Try withdraw to bank without supporting documentation, they will reject transaction as well.

Since SM asked for those documents prior let you deposit, i see nothing wrong with it, in fact, it is a sign of trust.

You guys have everything at home, it was said that I bought bitcoins for cash, if someone does not know then in Ukraine it is practiced and it was 2 years ago, what documents can I provide ??? if you have problems with your head, then just remove Bitcoin from the payment method and don’t accept them, otherwise it looks more like insanity, any other bookmaker accepts them if the account is verified, but here we have the account verified, but 35 more documents are needed )))))))))))))))))))))))

Hello Alisa,

Thanks for replying, appreciated!
Must say that we are more than happy that no scam happened here - that is amazing 8)

Now, regarding policies, they are what they are and we have to follow certain regulations when it comes to BTC payments. We will not share any information about our email correspondence, but some things you are saying here are simply not true; rest assured that our team is always responding to your statements for those reasons such documents might have been requested.

Anyway, nobody is forcing you to deposit BTC if you don't agree with our policies :)

We will not communicate this any further via Forums and you are more than welcome to send email to feedback@sportmarket.com if you have official complaint and for any other queries, feel free to send email to support@sportmarket.com.

Stay safe everyone!

it’s a shame that you turned from a normal broker into a paranoid bookmaker and much worse, because it’s easier to play directly with a bookmaker than to listen to the crazy requirements for providing information about the income and origin of bitcoins

Sportmarket!!!

It is true the headline needs to be changed because you guys were the best Agent i used. But you guys also have to agree that your terms or rules or whatever now,  is just annoying and very very arrogant. Your personnel or customer care are the worst in the industry and they do not know how to write.

It marvels me that you guys became like this, i could remember few years ago when you didnt have any Licence, you were kind, understanding and didnt have all thiese annoying rules ( then you could even accept cash and deliver it to the house) and even if you did get this rules now, it is very acceptable that you guys relate it to people in a comfortable manner. But your attitude now sounds like the if you dont want it, go away.

well what do i know, i ran as much as i can because if you guys are just feeding from the agent commission, you would be better but i am sure you are not.

@jagas

Hello jagas,

Thanks for your feedback it is much appreciated!

While we understand your concern it is very unfortunate to use "the worst in the industry" if you avoid following policies and rules that are in place. Given the situation, we are obliged to follow rules and regulations and there is no way around it. We are very sorry if you felt any discomfort, but rest assured that there would be 0 issues if you would've followed the rules and regulations on our side.

As I have advised alisa, if you feel that you have been mistreated in any way possible, feel free to send email to feedback@sportmarket.com and your query will be escalated accordingly.

@alisa

Hello alisa,

As said before - feel free to contact us via feedback@sportmarket.com if you feel that you have been mistreated.

Stay safe!!

So people seem to be guilty until proven innocent, I thought it was the other way round..

I can understand how a company can comply with this to keep running their business, but people who take this for granted in exchange for nothing.. that's worrying.

The title of the thread is completely misleading. After reading OPs post, I fail to find where the scam is. Quite the contrary, Sportmarket's enhanced KYC is a sign of health.
According to the OP there was a cash market transaction 2 years ago in Ukraine, not supported by any document. While I do understand that some agents/brokers would easily accept this money, this is not the case with Sportmarket. The OP can take his money and deposit it to other brokers if he wishes so. You really can't force any agent to accept you as a client under your conditions. The agent has conditions to meet as well.
As for the other bitter comments, I have to remind you that Sportmarket paid everyone promptly, even during the pandemics when other bookmakers, brokers, and agents were unable to pay.

Some people are just clueless what KYC really is and how bookmakers or any financial institution are forced to use it. Good luck with it. You will need it. Either now or in the future.

Selfies with nano ledger would be the easiest part. No serious financial institution would accept those money without proper supporting documentation. If they accept them, remove your funds as fast as you could from them lol.
