No real action in the forum these days. People quit, or is it something else?

Forums are dying since a few years back when they were really popular. I don't think that will be anything else for arbusers unfortunately

It is a reality that our forum is indeed quite these last months. There are several reasons for that:

1. A big number of players quits. This is because bookmakers and exchanges managed to successfully tackle smart betting to a large extend. Also, payments processors created a very toxic environment and they no longer serve the plans of a smart (or sneaky?) bettor.

2.A big number of players failed to jump to value betting. Value betting proved to be a harder job compared to arbing. It seems to me that many players tried to move to Value Betting with no success. Unfortunately for them, the competition from bots is irrefutable.

3. A big number of players jumped from smart betting to the crypto sphere, encouraged by the bull market found an easier way to make money. I m so happy for them.

4. A number of players, especially those who came from the 00s, jumped to other forms of investment, real estate and cultivating land in particular. I admire the people that dedicated their well deserved profits from smart betting to the cultivation of land.

5. Indeed it is correct to say that forums are no longer a trend. Youtube came like a roller. However, I m more than sure that Youtubers are not offering the knowledge and the assistant that a smart bettor needs. No Youtuber will ever answer to any question. Yesterday I visited the Youtube channel of a so called smart betting guru, with almost 100.000 subscribers. The knowledge there is simply epidermal.

Other than that, we will keep the forum up, even if the traffic continues going down like it now goes. We have good reasons for that.

very inspiring reply arbusers! thank you very much.
I have not found the quality this forum offers elsewhere.
Last year i was a very immature player and now with all this knowledge experienced people share so generously, i would say that i leveled up to be an average one and still going up.
Thank you for this forum!

Thank you for the good words.

I would also like to stress something else. There are times when a member (or more than a member) are seeking for help in cases where a lot of money is at risk. The vast majority of these cases never come up in the surface because it would harm the members, or the over all efforts.
This is one of these periods when we have to answer to dozens of pms each day, and then coordinate action through various contacts. When these times come up, we do not have the time to answer to simple questions, and that is why many questions and comments remain unaswered.

Im still doing betting full time (no arbing). Im grateful for this forum because thanks to it i found my way to exchange (orbit) via betinasia. Later i moved country to have direct access to exchanges as it was vital for my profits + i wanted to reduce risk if i lose access to my "only" exchange. Reduce risk etc...and i couldent be happeir about my decision as 2 months after i moved, BIA increased my orbitx comission. It would have killed majority of my profits and put me into deep trouble as it happend just when footy season began.

This season has been hard, i have worked had but earned less profits. Some of it cuz game is harder but right now variance is against me also a bit... Right now im still planning to continue what im doing + maybe put more focus on value soon.

Im thinking if things dont out work well, i might try to get job in some betting company, im actually super interested to get knowledge inside and learn more about it.

Im mostly using other betting forum, thats behind paywall - i have gotten most of my information, help and knowledge from there (beginner stuff). Posting in open forum like this or even there more advanced stuff is kind a suicidel as everyone can read it...and learn from it and it will kill these things.

In this industry i find its really hard to make connections that would benefit both persons. Thats what i feel i lack mostly - connections.

Regret to say that this is the reason i disappeared. The payment processors can live without me, but definetely i can also live without them too.

Like most people 3% from winnings only. They increased it to 4% but why would i take it when i can get 2% directly from betfair if i move country. Actually right now im less than 1%.

We are here guys!We never forget from where we begin!!I will continue read/post to this forum
and share valueble info. And i hope someday to meet some members of the forum.

Arbusers i want to comment and share some thoughts here,

1) Players quit but i think is mistake.Ok if someone has invested a lot of money and live from stocks/dividends/houses i understand.
Some solutions that will help not to quit and keep profits

a)You have skills?Just pass your bets to asians and exchanges.
b)Almost every country has a lot of legal bookies(14).You are limited to all of these?
Wait another year for new bookies. After 2-3 years you will have also 4-5 more.So its a cycle.New bookies every 1-2 years, new profits
c)Some people will use friends accounts,it is a risky option
d)Loan house to another country and have also others legal bookies there(so 2 countries legal bookies)
e)Use anydesk, teamviewer and expand to even more low costing countries with low renting.
f)Bet from your country(or other country) to non legal bookies

3) Crypto is of course a good investement,i try to invest but again it has risks. All crypto except bitcoin, ethereum have risks.Again
i believe a good percentage of your capital should be invested to crypto.

4) This is a personal opinion and of course i do not have idea from real estate(i mean buy houses, not hotels or land) but mathematics shows that i am correct.
I am thinking to buy a house and as we said in other threads, the real value is when you renovate a house.
I want to point out to the 2000s arbers who bought houses / lands from sport betting profits.

I wonder if those arbers who invested in real estate in 2000s had invested their
money in famous tech stocks and other brands(nike, google, walmart, boeing, amd, apple)(not spy) would they have much more money after 20 years?
The answer is yes.And if someone disagrees i want to explain the reasons why.

Imagine if only one stock of his diverisfied portofolio was apple, amazon, nvidia (etc...) in 2000s how much more profit he would have today. So stocks investing is much more profitable than real estate.
This is a rule.Real estate is more safer, but if you know just simple to diversify stocks you will get much more profits in the long run.

Warren Buffet is correct when he says that the best time to invest in stocks is "now".
And obviously I'm talking about people who invest constantly because if we take into account people who have skills(or pro traders) and predict Market crash (buy at dip-huge amount)
then the numbers go far beyond the stocks and of course not at real estate.

Also take point that in real estate you will encounter people who do damage to houses and do not pay rent(trust me,very common).
The only value at real estate that can deal with stocks is to buy a house in order not to pay rent or buy a house and rent as airbnb to a centre place with a lot of tourists or to a cosmopolitan island

Of course when you have big capital it is good to diversify also to real estate, but again just simple maths, stocks in the long run will pay more.
And you do not need to be Buffet in order to just choose a list of safe stocks who will increase after 20 years.

As i said above,i am thinking to buy a house with profits from sport betting and renovate it,so as to avoid rent.
But i am not sure it is the best choice, stocks keep growing and maybe with big capital you can buy dip when stock market crash or even just parking enough money at stocks(take point also dividends except from growing price)
On the other hand you lose money everytime you pay your rent.

In general 2000s arbers who invested in real estates and not at stocks have lost a lot of money in these 20 years.Buying stocks is better investing from just buy houses.
If someone disagrees i want them to express their opinion with arguments.
I am really passionate about stocks investing and try to invest as much as i can from the winnings of sport betting.
Waiting answers partners ;)

@gamblehappier you are opening so many issues all at once. We better keep the investing posts for the investing threads.
I believe that once someone quits from smart gambling, it is extremely difficult to jump back to the train after a year or so. The industry runs like the wind. Maybe it is better to stay in the business, even as a part-timer, instead of just walking away. Being a Part-timer always keep the doors open. But indeed it all comes down to the time one has.
