UKGC sets new rules for bonuses and promos

Thu Mar 27, 2025 11:07 am

Media reports, the UKGC is updating the White Paper to include a new set of rules for bonuses and promotions. The update was released yesterday (March 26th).

Starting from the 19th of December 2025, the UKGC will implement a ban on mixed product promotional offers and that means that operators will no longer be able to cross-sell players between certain verticals.

In addition, operators will be limited on the number of times bonuses must be re-staked before a player can withdraw winnings from a bonus. The new maximum wagering requirement will be X10.

Of course we can never predict the future, but it seems to me that all bonuses and promos will now have a X10 roll over requirement. Maybe this is encouraging for those who take casino bonuses, but for sure it will be tougher for those focusing on sports betting bonuses and promotions.
