forward your concerns to The Sun Newspaper at talkback@the-sun.co.uk

they would like to hear your story.

The Gambling Commission has failed you.  You can complain about the Commission.  Refer to their website.  The staff face the prospect of having no jobs in the new year because they have failed to protect customers like yourself.

They have allowed Canbet to trade for the 3 months and racked up many more thousands of pounds in the process from customers..  They will face the consequences too when The Sun report their findings and will be seeking for their heads.

The previous software fix has not rectified the current problem to the satisfaction of management and as a result this has lead to management taking this decision to temporarily cease trading until we can integrate a final technical solution, (which we are currently working on). The UK Gambling Commission has been notified of this decision.

Canbet apologise for the delayed payment issue and fully understand your frustration. Canbet has informed the UK Gambling Commission and we have assured them that ALL customer payments will continue to be paid as previously notified.

As part of our current software upgrade, the company are launching a new state of the art sportsbook and a mobile betting platform in the coming weeks.

Again Canbet apologises for the delay in payments and we will keep you posted with updates on our technical progress, which we are working around the clock to resolve.

Yours Sincerely

The Canbet Management Team "

I have been waiting for £3254 since 23rd October. That is 71 days and counting.

It is good to hear that people are still being paid but I agree, they are paying smaller outstanding amounts to people who have been waiting for less time than I.

I remain optimistic of payment, but my optimism reduces every day.

Congrats! That's good news since the UK gambling commission is finally getting involved.

Did you have to make complaints with IBAS or the gambling commission?

'' How are you responding to complaints about Canbet?

07 January, 2014

The Gambling Commission has received a number of complaints from customers that have had problems withdrawing funds from Canbet Sports Bookmakers UK Limited, a company licensed by us.

Canbet suspended its operating activity with regard to taking bets and new deposits from 31 December 2013. At that time the Commission explained some of the steps it was taking and that it would be receiving a progress report by 6 January.

Since that date we have received a number of further enquiries and can confirm we are continuing to actively engage with Canbet over their efforts to resolve these issues.''

After five years of stagflation I'm surprised more of the thinly capitalized books haven't gone belly up as betting liquidity has dried up.

Everyone will probably get paid eventually if the company is insolvent and goes into liquidation. Though if you're one of the ones waiting weeks and weeks for a withdrawal perhaps you'ld like the names currently listed as being behind Canbet:

Mr. Graeme White, Director
Mr. Peter Raymond Lord, Director

Canbet itself is currently owned by Interactive Gaming & Sports Pty Ltd who bought it in December 2012 from Yin Khing Investments Ltd, who themselves had acquired it in May 2009.

Liquidation is not a guarantee that you get your money back.
I remind you the wauw case where people got back only 50% of their balances because their assets worth was very low.

I'd be pretty happy to at least get 50%.

On SBR, a lot of people are not expecting anything.
