What do you guys think? Will it be a war in Ukraine any time soon?
Hopefully it will not.

Re: War in Ukraine?
My bet is Yes.
Conflicts climb in days, so we have to pay attention about what EU and OTAN will do.
Nonagenarian and senile president Biden said that US will not participate whatever happen there. I am sure that Putin has waited for the exit of Donald Trump to make this movement. He knows perfectly who are in front of him at all times. For me, one of the best presidents in the world.

What a shame this is. I am not sure if Russians support the decisions of their leaders.

Re: War in Ukraine?
No one should be at the power for 20 years. Who can go against Putin now?
It's absolutely incredible. This is the most dangerous situation in Europe since Yugoslavian wars, or even more.
We know how war starts, but we don't know how war will finish....

Re: War in Ukraine?
Who can go against Putin? Man its easy but the thing is no one really want to. Cut all the important Russians who live in Europe, who send their children to european schools, block their bank accounts, cancel visas (int they need any) and Putin will dissapear sooner than you can even imagine. The thing is no one cares, if other countries would really want to make him and Russia struggle, the war would end in no time. They dont care cause business only matters, they will speak loud but behind the door would do businesses with Russia as usual.

Sanctions is the language of cowards. Remember Chamberlain in Munich 1938.
Anyway i was talking about internal opposition. Honestly, this situation doesn't look good.

The same reason that had Hitler to invade Czechoslovakia. Or Poland. The same reason that had Bush to invade Irak. No reasons at all. Reasons are FUD.

Re: War in Ukraine?
i think people should maybe understand the history of europe before jumping to the conclusions which the news corporations feed them.
I would not defend the actions of Putin but this is not just a case of Ukraine and Nato (good) vs Russia (evil)
I hope and pray everyone is safe

Re: War in Ukraine?
the answers you seek are in the transcripts of Putins speeches over the last few days, it's actually a very interesting read of his interpretation of the last 80 years since WW2. Obviously the Western media don't mention the 'Empire of lies' and Iraq, Libya etc
