What is the amount of money that would make you quit all jobs and retire for ever?
Mention age and country of origin.
Just checking something. Thanks.
What is the money that would let you retire?

Same as Grant!
I don't have any plans to retire soon/at all. It is not about the money, it is about freedom to choose how to spend your Time/Life.

Re: What is the money that would let you retire?
I had the same question in my head when I was 27. Eventually, the number did not matter, what mattered was to identify, develop and evolve the character and the means.
It's not a number anymore that will make me fill secure and stop. After basic needs are covered I don't associate money with security.
It's the feeling that I can't get any better in my field that will make me stop and when I hit that ceiling I will definitely work on something else.

Exactly the same. Couldnt care less about numbers (which is always a good sign), when i do not progress any longer its time to go.Eleftherios wrote: I had the same question in my head when I was 27. Re: What is the money that would let you retire?
I think, I hope, I will never retire, no matter what the money will be.
Being successful in business and investing is a drug to the brain. It constantly tells you that you are a winner, you fought with the lions and you won. Once Ray Dalio said that being successful in investing is of the same difficulty like getting an Olympic medal.
Staying in the business (any kind of business, not just smart betting) keeps the brain alive, gives reasons to live and create. In reality, it prolongs our life span.

Re: What is the money that would let you retire?
The majority of the answers in that thread so far point out exactly why profitable people share their experiences here in that Forum.
I'd never retire,
When I watch and maintain X number of events simultaneously (enjoyment of the sporting masterpieces activities on the pitch, not just for market ins/outs purposes), I keep my mind in its best analytical state.
When I take a short break from such activities, my brain is still working on the background, for example, I sometimes dream during the nap about possible ways to solve some problems, including optimal tune-ups or new market ideas, etc.
Mark Twain once said: The more enjoyment you get out of your work, the more money you will make.
Or if you prefer Kong Fu Zi: Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.

but if most professional dont care about money and dont even need it, why not help others to teach them their own way. People may say theres lot of info here, but in reality its basic book info which everyone can understand self explanatory. Some posts have had some nuances, but

I have personally learned a lot from them over the years and I'm very grateful to them and to the existence of this wonderful Forum.
Naturally, no one is obligated to jeopardize their classical methods as well as their newly invented ideas by sharing them openly and publicly. But every time I read and reread posts from extremely talented and creative people (regretfully, they're not too many), I know I can try to expand my horizons.
Unfortunately, I'm under the impression that the value info in the forums is declining globally unlike in past times and very few people post valuable information - the logical consequence of the influence of Tiktok, X (a.k.a Twitter), and plenty of others that don't stimulate at all the creation of full polyvalence of one's own Thought, supported by own deep Observations and Logic.

In my opinion, if a Forum User reads very carefully between the lines, she/he may find that the most respected Professionals here imply a lot of info in every opinion they make (remember Claude Shannon's Information Theory), in order to "buzz" others' Minds.ray mansi wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 2:25 pmbut if most professional dont care about money and dont even need it, why not help others to teach them their own way. Not looking to brag here, but if you know any other sports betting forum in this world with better and more insightful content, please let me know. I will gladly become a member of this forum asap.
We discussed it several times but let's talk about it once again. We are in the 2020s and forums/fora are no longer popular. There are people who do not know how to register and post in a forum, because their brain is burnt by various discords, Instagram and Telegram. I m receiving emails from people who need assistance to start a new thread, to post 3 words, this would be unimaginable 5 years ago. Thus there is no fresh blood coming in.
In addition, after 2020 the smart betting sphere lost some 40-50% of its members who jumped to the crypto-sphere. I regret to say that we helped them to do so with the 2-3 threads we have about BTC and ETH.
Indeed the work became tougher, and the money is no longer easy. Steps for that, Bet365, Ewallets, Banking, Regulation, Taxes, etc, they all have their share for the gloomy situation.
As for the shared information, as arb12 said, you must be able to read between the lines. I, my self, learned a lot of things from posters in our forum. People love to post their tactics and strategy after it is burnt for them. But imagine the following. A burnt strategy for someone in Slovakia, might still be a treasure for someone in Greece, at least for some tim until the niche evaporates. To sum-up, the Bible is clear: ''Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will open''.

There people all they do is talk and help, but arbusers i see daily posts are more focused about helping people accounts to be settled and sharing important news about big companies. Under recent posts people ask some beginner questions and important feedback
Re: What is the money that would let you retire?
its little off topic and i dont like to talk about it, but yes there iis actually sport community where people share their picks and ideas. You can even create own systems, but if you follow it it only looses. i dont trust it, but automated charts there show only profits.arbusers wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 7:30 pmray mansi wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 2:25 pmbut if most professional dont care about money and dont even need it, why not help others to teach them their own way.
