It's probably a once in a tenthousand time event, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
The game was abandoned because of too much fog on the pitch. Pinny voids bets on games in this case if the game isn't restarted the same day. This soft only voids if the game isn't restarted within 24 hours...they did restart the game but the next day.

Maybe not. Players back then had it too easy and many were unable to adapt when things became more difficult.Yngwie/Sawyer wrote: I think my biggest ever mistake in arbing was to not had started more early to arbitrage business

Re: What's your biggest ever mistake in arbing?
Thanks to Yngwie/Sawyer's post, I managed to minimise a loss due to voided bets from -$930 to just -$92.
ALWAYS close your bets! we're not gamblers!
Took me about 5 hours to decide tho.. lol... because the open bet was on a favorite... with odds of just 1.45
Luckily I did close the bet, otherwise I would've lost the whole $930.
This happened just last night. *phew*

It happened that I placed bet on two different matches (youth and adult), it happened also that I placed bet twice on one side, but my biggest mistake was first deposit on GoBetGo.

Re: What's your biggest ever mistake in arbing?
Actually you are losing more money if you close bets when soft side is voided. If you arb between a soft bookie and pinnacle and the soft bookie voided bet, you have a bet with no value at Pinnacle and if you can't find good odds for the other bet and you bet again a bet with no value, you have just 2 bets with no value instead 1. You just bet more money on "no value". It's maybe kind of a complicated idea. But it's just right. But I understand if you have a small bankroll you have to be cautious.leonheartx wrote: Thanks to Yngwie/Sawyer's post, I managed to minimise a loss due to voided bets from -$930 to just -$92.

Re: What's your biggest ever mistake in arbing?
I can't imagine to start today. It's so hard especially from some countries. Back then you could bet everywhere(now you have like 5 solid bookies with reasonable limits), limits were the same for all countries, limitation took much more time. I'm making money today just because of huge bankroll and my experience. But there were no information about arbing like today, I had been doing arbing like 2 years back then and I had no idea it's called "arbing", I just figured everything myself.Sampong wrote:Maybe not. My biggest mistake with arbing was telling anyone about it. People always think less of you if you say you have any association with gambling.

Re: What's your biggest ever mistake in arbing?
Another Mistake for today:
Arbing alert service showed arb for College Basketball:
Mississippi: 2.1 (Pinnacle)
Missiouri: 2.01 (Local Bookie)
As I been banned from most soft bookies in Australia, so when I say Local bookie, I mean Wagering shop. I told my girlfriend to press mouse button to submit $1000 at odds of 2.1 on Pinncale when I will call her from wagering Shop. I was half way to Wagering shop when my girl called me and told me she mistakenly pressed button and she was not sure on what team and what amount (she is Blonde by the way )
Anyways, I rushed to Wagering Shop and check odds. Odds were Mississippi 2.05 and Missiouri 1.8. Now Mississippi and Missiouri sounds similar to me so mistakenly I also put $950 on Mississippi at odds of 2.05 in the Wagering shop. Later when I came home, I checked and found that my girl also put $1000 on Mississipi at odds of 2.1. So by now I had $1950 on Mississippi without cover on otherside.
I came back home, realized my mistake. I check odds at another online softbook and they were offering odds on Missiouri 1.76. And the game was going to start in 2 mins. Deposited $2000 in softbook and again check everything. By now match had started . I checked the odds again and voilaaaaaaaaaa odds for Missiouri were changed to 2.1 as they were lagging in score. Without wasting any more second, I put $1950 at Missiouri at odds of 2.1. Now it's a 4% arb and I am waiting for game to finish.
Lessons learned:
1) Never ask your girl to bet on your behalf.
2) Always have tablet/laptop with you while you are in Wagering shop so you can place bet on Pinnacle and Wagering shop together. (I am going to buy Windows table specially to run arb finder software so I can carry it with me to Wagering shop and casino)
3) Don't bet on games which are going to start in 2-5 mins.

Hahaha..... you are right. But I am happy with my $200 I made from this. It could be $2000 but I don't wanna mix arbitrage and gambling. If I could be late by few more mins, it could have been a 20-30% arb but again I don't gambleraizzak wrote: i feel sorry for you missed some real cash but yeah for your sake of you heart that was good ending
