An accounting mistake today had me down over 3k for the week while I was supposed to be way up...and it took me 4.5 hours to track it down.  Almost drove me to the point of insanity tonight.    I found it though!

An associate put 1050€ of winning shop tickets in the washing machine today along with dirty laundry...unreadable and gone.  Bookies don't pay out without the original tickets, I already asked.

I am fairly upset, but nothing to be done.

I'm a newbie to this, I placed some bets using the okeyno website for surebets. I backed on marathon bets but something went wrong with the lay bets I placed on Betfair. So I've basically lost all the money.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to lay the bets properly on Betfair? Or could give me some advice

Before you click "confirm", you can see right next to the corresponding teams how much you will win (or lose) once the game is done (in green and red).  Just click "cancel all selections" to cancel the bet before you confirm it and tinker around with it untill you have figured it out.

You really, really should not be placing any bets or arbs before you know basics like these like the back of your hand.

I think this is my worst month in arbing, not only is it very difficult to find both live and pre match arbs now. when you find, the limits are just shit in Betfair and all other Asians and good for me, made couple of mistakes costing me about 11000 euros betting on live.

Just keep working man, you'll make it back.  Don't get discouraged.

Biggest mistake... Hmm... Tried to arb with 1k euro. Placed a bet. Let's say today is 25.10. Added game to oddsportal, showed 26.10 so I assumed it's for another night, went to bed. Woke up just to realize that games was played 26.10 but this night, not 20 hours after. Won 800 euro luckily.

Luck even out they say. So once I wanted to bet 2 euro at odds of 1000 for fun. Don't know how but instead of that I tried 1000 euro at evens, odds available was around 25 at that moment so got matched straight away, no chance to cut losses cause odds drifted like crazy. Lost of course.

I feel your pain! Ive sent in a £500 bet at 1.01 in error when the real odds were evens.  Needless to say that soured my day lol

Keep up! I feel your pain. My biggest loss in arbing is 35 000 eur - never got paid from smartlive casino  then 20 000 eur never got paid from artemisbet.

But that are not even my biggest losses overal. My biggest "loss" overal is that i sold only 1/3 of cryptocurrencies back in the peak - now i am in "loss" 1.8m USD )
So do not worry. I worried over month. But now lets see what will happen.

But i feel your pain - arbing is tougher every single year. I cant imagine to just  start arbing and have my first year in this conditions.

When you think about it you do not need so much money per month for a very decent living. Depends on where you live.  All that money in shares, bonds and bank accounts just make you safe. And you work all life to gather it and maybe never use it.

I can make same decent living with 3000-4000 eur per month  of income - like with  2-3 millions on  bank accounts. You will never touch that money. Oh maybe you will buy fancy cars  and so..but  you will be bored really fast - super fast doing nothing.

Mistakes happens from time to time no matter how experienced you are. Tried to lay at BF a while ago. No idea how did I do it but instead of laying at around evens I layed at 70s with more than 50 euro. Matched immediately. Even teams so I got lay of 4k and profit of less than 100 euro if lay wouldn't land. Extreme shite markets, no liquidity so in the end managed to take a red of 1600 euro. Wasn't happy of that at all.

I have had several occasions where I have placed an initial bet followed by a cover bet only for one of them to be cancelled or the odds altered by the bookmaker. Sometimes I have managed to complain and get the correct payment/bet paid as a winner, but others i've had to accept a loss. As arbing involves large stakes even smaller price changes can be costly.

This was one of the reasons why I have transitioned into around 80% Value Betting, 20% arbing now.

Last night I wagered on one side but didn't have enough time to bet the other side before the start of the match.
