Anyone experienced something like this on willhill?

I write to inform you that your William Hill account is currently suspended and your funds temporarily retained following bet(s) which were placed on the Football match between CS Rapid cfr Seceava V Unirea Tarlungeni, as this match is now under investigation by the relevant sporting body due to suspicious play and betting activity.

Whilst I appreciate you may feel frustrated with this matter, our actions have been undertaken in strict accordance with the terms and conditions you agreed to upon registration

I did not, but I am very interested in how this ends, as I also use WH a lot.

I ve heard of a similar case with Betfair.
Did you place bets only in this game? What was the amount of money you bet there?

Yes I'm from Romania ( game was also from Romania)

I bet on live market, over 5.5 @ 1.4  100 euro . ( at 3-2 , min 70. final score was 4-2)

I have placed many bets with will hill so far.

After the game ended, they gave me the winnings, 140 euro. 15 minutes after, they took the winnings back saying the match is investigated. And 2 days later they suspended my account.

The is shameful behaviour by Hill.
In the past there was a championship game under investigation and the FA asked SBO to provide information. SBO did not cooperate. One more reason to bet with the Asians.

Betfair do not tolerate fixed matches or something like that (or suspicious matches). My good friend deposited there 500k USD played two matches, one russia premier league soccer and one tennis match, both looked like fixed match low odds on draw for first case and tennis was one russian player not that famous . He received his deposit back and he is still waiting on results of investigation. I tried to help him with different authorities no results at all. Any manager, no one wanted to talk about this. This was around 2 years ago maybe i could try to ask Betfair management account whats new in investigation. They CAN investigate for many years... But if you play arb in this situation can do big damage to any budget, if you just play bets, its ok generelly they usually void bets and deposit is refunded.

Good luck maybe try to ask for withdraw of your funds but tell them that they can hold your potentional winnings from that match.

it was not even an arb, I was covering a middle in live play.

To block all funds for a 100 euro bet at 1.4 odd is terrible act.

I smell bullshit wherever i see "please remember, you have signed and agreed to the terms of service so it's perfectly legal for us to take your first born and turn him into a sacrifice for our gods of profit"

Any ideas about what I can do, beside waitting couple of years until they "investigate"?

I sent them an email yesterday and they said they still investigate..

From SBR no answer ( 2 weeks ago I sent the complain)
