according to a pinnacle article that i have not checked myself if it is accurate or not the % of 3 is 11.8% and 7 7.4% so yeah if the numbers are acurrate it is a good bet. The article is the following
At college football there is way more fluctuation so the numbers worth less and yes it is a waste of time (except obvious by big windows i would like at least 4 points to do it) . To get my point if you have an option to bet -14 at cfb bet @ -125 it is always better to bet -16.5 @ +105 for example

Edit: Whatever i said to the 1 point is a complete nonsense even if the figures are correct noone said that % of games that finished by 3 and 7 had actual spread by 3 or 7  so the actual % is a compelte different story
