In case you are not aware, viva ewallet has already pass to the tax office our total amount of transactions for october 2017. My total amount that i saw in my tax office account is 75% from this ewallet (bookmakers deposits)

Here is what happened.
As you may know, goverment runs now some kind of lottaries to give randomly money to a number of people. Yesterday was 1000€ to 1000 people.
They gave lottary tickets to everyone accordingly to the total amount of money you spend through cards or ebanking for grocery, services etc
For this purpose, Independent Authority for Public Revenue collect this info from banks. It seems that Viva ewallet was not an exception.
I saw the amount of money they stated i spent for october and it is 4 times more than i expected. Then i counted my viva wallet transactions (only deposits) and voila, that' s the correct amount.
Actually it was a little scary because it now seems that i spent in one month almost the half money of my tax declaration!
Of course in my case i talk for small amounts and it's not a problem. But if you are for example unemployed with 0 tax declaration and you have spend many many money through this ewallet... I don' t believe it' s a good scenario

Re: viva wallet
Geomak I think you are mixing 2 different things but you are touching and dandling with a great danger called presumption of wealth. In a normal democratic country no one would care about it but in a far left Communist state like Greece everyone should be extremely careful with this. So far there is no sign that credit and debit card transactions will be counted as a presumption of wealth but you can expect anything from a communist state like this. So far other presumptions of wealth such as maintaining a family, a home, a business and a car were reasons to tax severely everyone. I would take my measures before it is too late starting out from reducing all transactions with viva wallet or anything else that could become available to the regime.
The lottery tickets you mentioned is just a silly issue for silly people.

Re: viva wallet
Just to follow up my previous post.
The viva wallet transactions (bookmakers deposits 2017) are added at my tax account here in greece for 2018 tax decleration as money i've spent for goods and services.
Now the intetesting part: a "friend" of mine called me and told me he got a call from his accountant that informed him while his 2017 earnings was about 2000€, he has spent 15k through viva wallet and it is possible for the tax office to check this difference.
Some notes:
1. I don' t believe this little money to be checked but imagine what would happen if the amount was 50 or 100k+ thats a lot of money in greece.
2. I never asked from viva wallet about any tax numbers or informed that they are going to pass my transactions to the tax office (previous year this didn' t happen). They identify each tax number probably from the utility bills.
3. How long till skrill or neteller forced to do the same thing?

Re: viva wallet
Geomak thanks for this follow up. I would like to add something about the statement that you have made. Profits from gambling are tax exepted in Greece, you need to pay only "helping jobless and morons tax" if your winnings are above 12500 euro. So i don't believe that there will be a problem.(just my opinion).

Re: viva wallet
Hi there ilovethisforum.
Indeed, there isn' t any extra taxes for small amounts.
My basic intention from my post is to warn anyone used this ewallet in 2017.
I hope you understand, even for little euros in transactions, for some friend who is not really aware of the situation to say: "wtf is this? I don' t recognize this activity and never used vivawallet"

There is some facts and it's a matter of hours if not minutes for someone to see unknown transactions and call vivawallet and then the police before doing anything else or remember that have a friend of a friend who did something few years ago.

I got the point about presumption of wealth but i' m not talking right now about taxes.Arbusers wrote: I believe crazy tipster's post answered to all questions.
