Re: Another major arbing event. Get ready.
This type of events are offering many cross market arbs. For example, IN or OUT and UP or DOWN for the Euro/GBP rate. If your imagination is wild, you could find many pairs like this.

Britain Britain Britain, OUT OUT OUT
The EU are corrupt, immoral, a colossal waste of money and anti-British.
Yes some things will be worse, and some things will cost more if we leave, but a whole lot of things will be better for us in the short, medium and long term.

Have no doubt, the real question is:
UNDER or AWAY FROM Germany.

It's just like the Scotland referendum. The educated population will vote to stay in.

has got weaker since then since the decimation to the oil industry, Nicola Sturgeon daren't force a vote as this is a vote which could end her career in politics.
only 4 out of 32 regions in scotland had majority vote for independence and they represented the less well off
regions, Scottish people are not stupid especially when it comes to finances
and yes these votes present money making opportunities
Re: Another major arbing event. Get ready.
really? that is not the case, Scotland just decisively voted to remain in UK and the argument for independenceNAS wrote: UK out = Independence for Scotland, so UK can lose a lot...

it's pretty obvious though that if the EU was only North European countries it would be in a far better shape.
If UK does leave, the French and then the Germans will do the same in the following years.
as long as we are all still making money from the bookmakers, that's the most important thing

doesn't seem to have done Switzerland or Norway any harm? politics is as corrupt as a fixed tennis match,Arbusers wrote:Some might argue that if UK gets out, GBP is done.testez wrote: what EUR/GBP? if UK gets out E.U. is done...

The reason Germany supports the eu is because their economy profits the most. It is the same for the uk and that is why every ceo in Britain wants to stay in.
Even the countries that are doing badly realise that without the eu they would do even worse. Do you think Greece, Spain, Portugal and Italy would suddenly become economic power houses without the eu?

2. i'd much rather have a country run by people who still have dreams, than a group of people who are afraid of anything and anybody, prefer to build a very big wall around themselves and think they can keep the supposed "bad guys" out. if history teaches us anything, it's that that don't work.
3. as the previous poster mentioned, germany is one of the best functioning economies of the entire world. how did it get there? by being scared? no.
back on topic, i agree with the UK's push against EU bureaucrats who run Europe from a French perspective and only want more, more, more unification. i don't think anybody in their right mind could be against a unified Europa from an economical perspective, but that's pretty much where things should end. I applaud Cameron for having debated this, and there are plenty of European countries that agree completely with the UK. With this deal there's no real need for the UK to leave, only a lot of negatives. I hope the UK stays (and Betfair markets suggest they pretty much will) and, with its allies, change the EU in an economic power-block which Europe (and the world) desperately needs, but without the idiotic farming subsidies, all of that ridiculous European lawmaking on national subjects and of course, the worst of all, the entire European parliament having to move from Brussels to Strasbourg once a week because of French nationalism. I'm convinced If you weed all of this shit out, the EU can still work with a lot more advantages and a lot less cost.
