Anyone here doing Crypto currency Arbitrage?
I have some question to ask.
This is better than sport arbitrage no limitations.

Re: Crypto currecy Arbitrage
If you have one leg in fiat, it is tricky, because it is not easy to move large amounts of fiat around bitcoin exchanges.
If you can do that, then there is a lot of money to be made.
USDT is not the same as USD.
If you only have legs in crypto, then you take currency risks, price flactuation while holding alts in different exchanges.
Some altcoins need a lot of time before they are credited, 20, 50, 100 confirmations, depends how strong their network is.
Do not forget the custodial risk, and exchange running with your crypto.
Anyway, there is many thing to be said with sports arbitrage and yet we make money, so im certain people manage to make money arbing cryptos too!

>> Yes, there is even source code on github for one of solutions.
You must put your rest api keys inside that this can work (of course at your server)

Cryptocurrency arbitrage was impossible even when BTC-E worked. There is only one thing why it is not possible - you cannot deposit and withdraw funds quickly.

Also Ethereum is much faster than bitcoin - 10-20 min confirmation time. Just hedge against eth price fall while it's being sent.
Currently investigating how to get money into eurozone so I can cash out in Australia - at times there is a 20% price premium (arb)
Re: Crypto currecy Arbitrage
Yeah but with arbs as high as 20% then it's worth it. If you have a bank account in eurozone and say bank account in australia it can be extremely lucrative.jor_dan wrote: Cryptocurrency arbitrage was impossible even when BTC-E worked. Re: Crypto currecy Arbitrage
It doesn't matter if you can deposit and withdraw quickly. Why it would matter? What's the problem if you withdraw your cash after few hours? You make the arbitrage instantly. Cashing process does not matter. Cyptocurrency arbitrage will be the future form of sports betting arbitrage.
Also, trading cryptocurrencies alone (without any sports betting) is profitable too.

In order to trade cryptocurrencies or do arbitrage one should keep a lot of funds on exchanges. Are you ready to risk?

but like thordin said, moving money is a hustle and these exchanges are even bigger mafia than sports books
Re: Crypto currecy Arbitrage
you can do margin trading with borrowed assets, this way you don't need assets to sell. some exchanges support this.maletaja wrote: Anyone knows how to sell or (short) coin? If u want to arb u must sell asset that u dont have?

Re: Crypto currecy Arbitrage
These exhanges isnt regulated. I am not sure how much money i want to hold there. Bigger one mayby 10k, smaller ones 1k maximum
Another bad thing is. Unlike sportbetting its taxable event. Every trade u make is taxable event.
Third thing u can get phone call from your police station for money loundering issues...

Re: Crypto currecy Arbitrage
that depends on a country, maybe in UK but mostly crypto trading isn't regulated so it's tax free, at least in the balkans
