Also on the sports I mainly bet on, Pinnacles opening lines are normally priced up very accurately, and when they are out a bit they get sharpened up almost instantly by the sharps/bots. The fact they open the lines with low limits and increase them steadily over time is quite frankly genius. I know lots of books do this these days but Pinnacle have been doing it for years and no other book on the planet are even close to them in terms of sharpness.
I do think that they move lines a little bit more if you are marked as a sharp player on a particular sport too, another clever action by them.

Look at the exchanges now, on many less busy markets you put up an offer and it is immediately bettered by a bot, and the bot will keep offering higher until its bet would be -EV.

We are only about 10-15 years from that IMO.maletaja wrote: Yes i assume in 2100 where is artificial intelligence. Maybe we have 0.5% juice and unlimited bet size and dropping odds change in millisecond!

It's clear that the playing field at Betfair is not equally level for all us. They have the domain in terms of latency and they're not going to let you get ahead of their bots. It's a little a dark pool.

Do you mean Betfair have their own bots? Or who get access to this dark pool?TheJog87 wrote: It's clear that the playing field at Betfair is not equally level for all us. They have the domain in terms of latency and they're not going to let you get ahead of their bots. It's a little a dark pool.

The entire operation of Betfair exchange is through of bots, and since the merger with Paddy seems to work even harder to clean up our pockets. In my opinion for us that we access is more or less a dark pool.
