Anyone know if you get credit card airpoints (basically a reward system where you get about 3% back in the form of $ to spend at a particular airline) for funding either skrill or neteller? My credit card fine print says it does not give airpoints for ": fees and interest; balance transfers; credit card repayment insurance; purchases of Airpoints Dollars using Airpoints Advance facilities; gambling chips; cash advances or withdrawals made from ATMs or over the counter at a bank; money orders, travellers cheques and foreign currencies in cash..."

So you can see where this is going. Fund skrill at 1.9% through credit card, collect 3% rewards, and find 0% arbs on b365/pinnacle.

So, anyone know if skrill is classified in the credit card databases as "gambling chips"?

You could just test it and see what happens.
Or ask your bank

I think at the very least it will be treated as a cash advance, and probably be excluded from points as well.  I guess there is no harm trying a small amount and see what occurs!

I guess I'll test it. I wouldn't ask them as that could get them to look into it in more detail.

iirc Skrill ask if the cash is for gambling, and report that to the cc company.

You could click no, but presumably Skrill will notice.

I think this is right. If you click no, you can't use it for gambling sites anyway.

I'll test if this works for neteller.
