Backers stake of 213.05 Formula is 183.22 divided by odds-1 183.22/0.86 = backers stakeAceJack wrote: Im working with this formula:

Re: Convert Lay liability to stake
chromaweb.com. their advanced lay calc, and 2% commission , so you are using betdaq ? you should be careful with the 2% commission offered by betdaq , it is not available for everyone, are you making your lay bets as an arber ? palindon

Re: Convert Lay liability to stake
I was hoping to revive this post , thanks for all the help . I prefer to have everything related to betting in my excel sheet . I am aware that I can find websites that offer these types of calculators.
I was hoping some math wizards could help me with the formula that does the opposite of my previous problem .
So I can calculate how much I should Back after I have had a certain bet matched:
For instance:
Lay: 3,16 , stake $54,29 (liability 117,26) rake: 2%
Back= 3,42 how do I calculate how much I should back bet ?

Re: Convert Lay liability to stake
Without doing any math, you know you should back a stake a bit lower than the lay stake. Such as 50, 51 up to 54
And you also know that your winnings (stake * (back odds-1)) should be greater than the lay liability.
So if you try with 50 you get
50 * 2.42 = 121 (greater than 117.26)
This does not take commission into account. The exact value needs a formula a bit complex (not space science anyway).
And you also know that your winnings (stake * (back odds-1)) should be greater than the lay liability.

I worked out this to inverse the laybet to back:=1+(1/(T3,16-1))* (1 - 2%) = 1,454 ) but guess i need to look more closly into this
)
Edit nevermind this , I fund out how to convert it back to back stake:
I just need to add how much I can win (-rake) with my liability and divide it with the back stake

this back and lay still confuses me alot, and im definitely no rocket scientistppintaluba wrote: Without doing any math, you know you should back a stake a bit lower than the lay stake. Such as 50, 51 up to 54

Re: Convert Lay liability to stake
Did some Google search and messed around in excel and I was able to figure this out.
Now I have back to lay calculator and lay to back calculator in my excel sheets.. Thanks a lot guys for all the help
Reason I wanted this is because I don't always get my stake 100% matched then I need to figure out how much the matched % takes of the back bet, then I can recalculate and either try to increase the lay odds or try to back the unmatched bets at other bookies like pinnacle..
As I side note I think smarkets offers better odds then pinnacle on a lot of matches
