Nettler is making some changes in account verification procedure. I did not receive any email about this , but if I would not log in to account , I would not even know it.
"Neteller has changed its account verification policies and now requires all members to complete additional identity verification steps. In order to ensure your account usage will not be interrupted, please complete the below steps to verify your account."
They want some additional documents, so you might go and check it on their page.

Re: Changes to account verification procedure
For UK basic account they also require new verification, account is not suspended and I can make transactions but not sure when it could be suspended without uploading required document.

Re: Changes to account verification procedure
It's not a biggie, one needs these docs to use any book anyway. But their policy is going in the wrong direction on so many levels it's just waiting when they'll take a saw to the branch they’re sitting on.

Re: Changes to account verification procedure
Seem like nettler does not even know ,what they really want... but we can expect this to return any time soon I guess ..
I think this is really pointless procedure, but yeah they can do what they want as we can see now..

Re: Changes to account verification procedure
the question is, is there regulatory requirement to do so?

Re: Changes to account verification procedure
I had the same thought. Either they are forced to do this by regulations, or they see this as a way to get money out of customers, perhaps by closing non-compliant accounts and confiscating their balance. I can't see any other motivation other than one of the above, otherwise Neteller just wouldn't want to deal with the additional administrative burden this creates. Judging by their behaviour lately (screwing with the terms of their vegas promotion), it could be that this is just another way for them to get some one-off profits. Boy how I want to see Neteller go down the drain.my_username wrote: the question is, is there regulatory requirement to do so?

Re: Changes to account verification procedure
I enquired about this when I seen the message and got an e-mail back:
"The additional address verification is not mandatory until next year."
I think this is just a formality, if you re-submit previous documents I would be confident they are still acceptable. Pinnacle have also sent out an e-mail of this nature in recent weeks so I don't think this is anything new concerning verification methods.
