Hello everyone!
I'm a long time reader of this forum, first time I decided to post
I was looking into ways of making money online, but I'm having a hard time finding alternatives due to my country's legislation. Most bookmakers are now banned because they have to apply for a license to operate in my country, and the issuing process is very restricted.
Here is a list of the money making methods I already thought/tried to make money online. Maybe this can be useful for someone:
- Bonus hunting: by taking advantage of bookmakers first deposit bonus and placing a matched bet in an exchange betting service, you can clear the bonus for profit. (I can't do it now because most bookies are banned)
- Arbing: I arbed 4 years ago and made some profit out of it, but eventually got banned from bookies because I was careless. Also, it was very hard to reconcile it with my daytime job, so I left arbing. (I can't do it now because most bookies are banned)
- Poker: the way I see it, winning at poker is harder every year, as players are more strategically educated now. I've won some money a couple of years ago at poker, but then my country also banned online casinos so I can't do it anymore.
- Bitcoins: people that have mined bitcoins when it was in its beginning reaped huge profits. Nowadays I don't think it's profitable to mine anymore and decided not to venture into it. Should I?
Do you guys know other ways of making money online that I don't know about? What do you think are the best gigs with a good effort/returns ratio?
I know this forum is full of very inteligent and tallented people, so if someone could lay me an helping hand I would really appreciate it! I answer to all PMs, if you prefer to talk that way.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Other ways of making money online
IMO its all about arbing, and taking advantage of sign up offers where the bookie is not a scam F rated one.
As a bit of a poker player unless you are playing at about $20-$40 and above the rake will negate any EV+ unless you can find a site with many soft players.
As for bitcoins I have no idea how they work, and the fact you can lose them in an instant if you lose your password/blockchain ID or whatever it is? puts me off them.

Thanks for your feedback mate. Actually, when I made this post, I was looking for other methods of making money online (I noticed that it wasn't clear, so I edited the original post). So if you know other ways of making money online, I would really appreciate if you could point me in the right path.dealer wins wrote: IMO its all about arbing, and taking advantage of sign up offers where the bookie is not a scam F rated one.

Cant help much other than earning peanuts doing online surveys. Maybe Ebay could be viable, I have a friend of a friend that buys gadgets cheap in bulk from china and knocks them out on Ebay for 300%+ markup. But he says its a hard grind, hard work and he doesnt enjoy doing it.mrbeast87 wrote:Thanks for your feedback mate. I already knew about some of the more "classic" ways you suggested. The thing is, I don't think I have any original content I can monetise... So I never ventured into it. I do a bit of stocks trading though.
I already search around in Google, but I could only find the "classic" ways, that's why I decided to ask you guys

The Ebay idea seems to have potential. I guess that you have to carefully select which products you buy and sell, but it seems profitable. Thanks for the suggestion

Yeah, I tried online surveys when I was younger, but in my country (Portugal) they are very rare and underpaid.dealer wins wrote: Cant help much other than earning peanuts doing online surveys. Yeah, a friend of mine also told me about this. But I think that nowadays it's returns are similar to investing in stocks.esi wrote: there's a new currency just like bitcoin called ethereum.
