Register at blocked bookies through VPN - can this work?
Hello, i'm thinking about register at the blocked bookies in my country through VPN (the most importants are blocked, like 888, 10bet, all the sharps, etc) and when registering i choose that i'm from an available country, of course that i will never get my account verified, but i don't want to withdraw there, i just want to use their good odds, and then transfer the cash to the exchange. Can this work or it's bad idea?

Please, think for 5 milliseconds what could go wrong with this plan before you implement it.
How about depositing 10k at a soft bookie...bet some arbs and just win 10.5k at the exchanges? That way, the money will be transferred and you won't have to withdraw from a soft bookie. Oh wait...you COULD ACTUALLY WIN AT THE SOFT BOOKIE PERHAPS AND GET ALL YOUR MONEY STUCK THERE WITH NO CHANCE OF EVER GETTING IT BACK? Why bother depositing somewhere if you cannot ever withdraw it? Just make the exchange bets if you're 100% certain you are going to win there. Wouldn't that be a lot better and more profitable?
I cannot believe the stupidity of some people...
You are saying you know exactly what lottery numbers will win tomorrow, but will still buy another 5000 tickets of losing numbers just for the fun of it. Doing that would be exactly the same thing as you are planning here. THINK.

Re: Register at blocked bookies through VPN - can this work?
I'm not doing arbs, i'm doing value betting and the soft bookies odds are much more higher. I can't do it in the exchange because in long term is -ev, their odds are always lower than the fairlines. I just thought that if my acc is not verified, they will never concern about me because i would never be able to withdraw the cash. But thanks for your explanation!Alfa1234 wrote: Please, think for 5 milliseconds what could go wrong with this plan before you implement it.

If you can't withdraw from somewhere, not a lot of point depositing there. You might as well burn the cash.alexunder wrote: I'm not doing arbs, i'm doing value betting and the soft bookies odds are much more higher. Judging from your reply, I don't think you "get" it yet. If you are certain you can "transfer" the money from your "value" bets back to an exchange, there is absolutely no point in making those value bets in the first place, now is there? Why bother giving a softbook your hard earned cash if you are 100% sure you can win it at another bookie? Simply make the exchange bets and win there, no point in giving money away to the soft. The plan cannot possibly work because there is no way you can consistently win at an exchange doing this, it's doomed to fail.alexunder wrote:I'm not doing arbs, i'm doing value betting and the soft bookies odds are much more higher. Let him do this The best way of learning is to learn from our mistakes.
Alexunder: come back after few months and tell us how much you won.
I'm pretty sure he will do what he wants no matter what other (experienced) people say. Some people post just to get confirmation that they got brilliant idea. If this happens - great, if not - "who cares I'm gonna try it anyway cause I'm so convinced this is easy peasy".

Re: Register at blocked bookies through VPN - can this work?
But i'm not sure that i will win in the exchange, by transferring the money i mean betting in an 1.20 odd in the exchange (for example, game is 1-1 at 75' and i bet under 3.5), and cover in the soft with the inverse bet (over 3.5), if anything goes wrong, i got my cash back in the soft. In long term, betting only at 1.20 odds is absolutely -ev. In 80 bets, if you miss more than 16 you'r losing money. You need to be THE GUY to have a +ev win rate.Alfa1234 wrote:Judging from your reply, I don't think you "get" it yet. A deposit-only book, with 20% arbs in its own lines - you don't even need other books for arbing. No withdrawal option, but that's not a problem as you could easily "transfer" your balance to other books when it grows, what can go wrong?
