« on: February 27, 2019, 05:36:36 PM »

I started betting the NHL by using Pinnacle vs Softbooks but after a sample of 500 bets I don't see any profit I beat at every bet the Closing line with margin are the Odds for NHL at Pinnacle not sharp enough does anybody has experienc with that ? specially on the the 1st per over under market I have a big lost

Maybe the value hides at the other side?

That's why I asked for some bets. Maybe he thinks that he takes value but in reality he doesn't for some reason.

I dont know. I guess more experienced can share their experience. Basicallly what you say is you are taking 4-5% EV bets in average. Odds way under evens, 500 bets isn't much but considering this circumstances being breakeven isn't common thing imo (considering a fact that a while ago I was taking 3% EV bets and started making decent profit after 900 bets, odds around evens). It's a difference breakeven comparing to having big lost as you mentioned, Personally if I would make 4-5% edge in average, odds under evens, experiencing heavy lost after 500 bets I would give up cause something isn't right here.
