Let's see what the impact is. More or less I would say that betting action is down 70-80%, judging from what I see from agent's action and e-wallets volumes. At the same time, I m wondering if any of us guys switched to other betting activities like greyhounds, casinos etc.
Opinions, please.

Re: How much reduced is your betting activity due to Covid-19?
Keeping almost stable my working time, let's say 80% of the usual, my gain in the past week (the very first of the emergency) has been reduced 50%. I would have signed for it at the beginning.
Before Covit19 i bet 80% prematch and 20% live, now the opposite.

In Italy we must stay home so there aren't alternatives...at least a book and cleaning rooms butdealer wins wrote: My betting is zero, and dont think it will start again for a good few weeks

My betting is zero as well. I decided to stop at least until the 30th of March.
I took this decision in the worry that this situation might have affected the result of my betting activity (I thought that I would have lost money instead of earning even just a bit).

Personally, switched to poker 100%, no-brainer decision.

Wow, that's even better than I expected, definitely more than 80% markets were cancelled.arbusers wrote: Let's see what the impact is. More or less I would say that betting action is down 70-80%,

Betting activity is now Zero. And will continuous like this until this situation finished.
Time to read, and cook.
I hope that the first league will be Chinese League.
Anyway, I think that we could put our brains and ideas working together to find, if not a solution because it's not in our hands; some other ways to make money, or to explore some other possibilities.
I think that all of us, have ideas everyday, but we don't have time to explore on that ideas. Now, we have all the time of the world to think and we cannot go to travel. So, in my opinion is the best time to share knowledge in other kinds of business, or just share ideas.
Cheers.

Could someone say how is it going with bots these days?
Re: How much reduced is your betting activity due to Covid-19?
In times like these, I understand the importance of being multi-talented, being able to operate in various markets.Mtipster wrote: Personally, switched to poker 100%, no-brainer decision.

That would be the order of recommendation if someone was to start playing, negative thing about Stars is low rakeback, but you will start with solid rakeback as a beginner, they cut it down to 2.1% only if you win in long term. HUD's allowed, but no notecaddy, no seating scripts, some advanced stats banned from HUD's also, so regs can't fully exploit beginners.
Partypoker has good rakeback scheme, but no HUD allowed. On the other side, since they banned HUD's game became softer, it was definitely hardest pool while HUD's were allowed, now it's maybe little harder than stars. If you don't want to invest in tracking software - Partypoker is the choice.
Ipoker network, known as soft in past times is a botfest. It seems like they don't even care. They allow everything - HUD's, seating scripts, Notecaddy, they will only intervene if chip dumping is noticed, as it's easy to detect and they have to because of AML. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner, you will be targeted from regs with advanced tools.
888 - soft pool also, HUD allowed but not at speed tables, software is little weird, behind the curve I'd say.
Winning, Chico (Betonline) - in theory it would be cool playing against Americans, but lots regs from Eastern Europe operate there. Winning allows HUD, Chico has it's own simple HUD with some basic stats. There are HUD tools that Chico officially bans, but some players use it without being caught, I don't personally so no 1st hand experience.
Microgaming - old school grinders love it, but to be honest, software is way behind the curve. No HUD's allowed, games are solid, semi soft, but whole network is shutting down in May and most skins will transfer to Ipoker (probably)
There are other options, for instance 5dimes (most of you probably have account there) has very low traffic room, but games are soft, you can easily play one table to have some fun in these days without sports.
Some Asian networks became popular recently, also some poker clubs from there designed for mobile phones only, but grinders still play it using emulators. Wouldn't recommend those for beginners either.
So, recap, for beginners (or some of you that played poker back in the days) I'd pick between Stars and Party.
If you haven't played for a while, games became harder, but still beatable. Definitely start with lowest stakes possible, just for fun, see how it goes.

Pokerstars is doing best job regarding that, Partypoker also, since Rob Young took over, that guy is really passionate about poker.neopas wrote:In times like these, I understand the importance of being multi-talented, being able to operate in various markets.Mtipster wrote: Personally, switched to poker 100%, no-brainer decision.

That should be 80%+ down.
Re: How much reduced is your betting activity due to Covid-19?
You do remember there was a raid that neutralized 85% of bots. The remaining 15% of operating bost have to deal with the blanket cancellation of almost all sports activities. Therefore, the drop of action is equal to the drop in all other smart betting activities, i.e arbing, trading, etc.neopas wrote: Could someone say how is it going with bots these days?

Good post Mtipster
You can add unibet in that list as a low traffic, soft room. Those cartoon alike are fun to watch.
For me poker is purely for the fun, the hourly rate isn't worth it

I noticed some UK casinos offering better bonuses lately. I m returning back to casinos, but really can't see that lasting long.
